This was my first time at this establishment. I was a bit concerned within the first couple of minutes due to some service elements and the timeframe in which it took us to be greeted. The ambiance wasn 't the greatest. The place was recommended to my friend I due to the reviews of having great food. Sadly, we were not able to experience any food from the menu. By the time we were greeted with service (and given 1 menu to share) we just ordered drinks to decompress and think about food. I love Lamberts. I first learned about Lamberts through my boyfriend, who has been a regular here for years. Lamberts is in a shopping center, sort of hidden, so in my mind I was thinking that not too many people knew about it but boy was I wrong. Each and every time I have gone, Lamberts has been PACKED. It is usually an older clientele (40's 60's range), but you do have some younger folks (20's 30's) sprinkled in the mix. They have a good happy hour and daily specials each night. Just got home from dinner at Lamberts. This is a true neighborhood bar. If you 're looking for ambiance to hang with your friends and have some drinks, it 's a good choice. No frills, incredibly slow service, but they have TVs and a good buzz. There were very few prices on the menu with most things saying $MP (market price). The dining room is not open, so only the bar or carry out. We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday evening and seated ourselves. The drinks are large strong but the service is straight up trash and the food is super subpar. Lamberts is a local strip mall dive bar staple that is going down hill. I sat at the bar for ten minutes without even being offered a glass of water when a good 3-4 bartender/waitresses walked passed me, not even cleaning the empty glasses that sat in front of me. He would fry them up they smelled just like fried chicken!! And baby I took a bite that texture in my mouth was HORRIBLE!! Consistency is the word when l think of Lamberts they have a limited menu, which allows them to shine on what they do serve. Try any of the crab soups. As good as any fine dining place for a fraction of the cost. Yea they can be a little slow but worth the wait. They have two bars, one at the back and a second at the front mostly for groups. Always clean. What more can l say!
Always a good time at Lambert's. But know that you may be waiting a while for your drink and to order your food. However, the atmosphere is vibrant and the people are nice and the food... Delicious every time. I was sad that they didn't have the chicken salad that I wanted but the burger did its justice as did the grilled wings and oyster rock
The ONLY reason you come here, is for drinks. That is it, that is all. The food available is mid grade at its best, but... when you get 2 3 drinks in, I guess others don't mind? I'm not sure, but no thank you. If I'm looking for food to soak up the heavy drinks that they do indeed provide, please get food from another spot.
