The lady working there made us feel awful because we hadn't booked despite there being a huge board outside advertising fish and chips but the chef had no problem at all. Then while she was taking our order she kept trying to walk away but we hadn't finished telling her all we wanted was fish chips, mushy peas and bread and when she eventually took the order she sarcastically said anything else and laughed?????? The fish was crispy in some parts but doughty in others. I think to charge €1.95 for 2 slices of bread with nargerine is way avove excessive. I'm sorry but that lady made us feel uncomfortable
It 's a very long time since I went to the Bruja in Javea, but I managed to get there when collecting my new glasses from Specsavers. What can I tell you about it? The staff were pleasant and welcoming always a good start. I ordered the Small Breakfast . I don 't think these folk have a dictionary as it was anything but small. Everything you might want in an English Breakfast was there and was properly cooked. The coffee was excellent and unlike many places in Spain it was good and hot when it arrived. This is an unpretentious cafe but well worth the visit.
We come to Camping Javea every winter and haven't been to the Bruja since it changed hands a few years ago. We had an excellent English breakfast here last week so we decided to try the fish and chips today (with a huge fresh fillet of Atlantic cod) We experienced genuine warmth and friedliness from the staff and the best fish and chips we've had for years. The price is really good and the kitchen and bar area are spotless. We will definitely eat there again and I would recommend Lancashire Bruja to anyone as they cater for all diets and tastes.
Fabulous visit to the Lancashire Bruja for Sunday service , run by lovely people and a great service. Had an ice cold beer to start , just to set the tone . Starter was Prawn cocktail, fabulous, main course the Sunday roast which was superb , managed to squeeze a sweet in which was Bakewell tart and ice cream . The breakfast here is also amazing .
