We were here in September, our friends had not done this before and loved it. It is a beautiful village close to the Moselle and Bernkastel. Dear review readers, the best time of the year to stay here is spring and autumn, when the Moselle and surroundings are really beautiful. The rooms are truly German decorated. Decoration could be better. No place to put a suitcase. Not enough hooks to hang coats. The breakfast is simple and we thought it could be better. Sweet pieces of bread/cake lay under a tea towel for a few days. Dinner was simple, but not bad. The cook uses far too much breadcrumbs on chicken fillets and on the snitzel. Which makes it less tasty and that's a shame. The music evening was great fun with Ulli. The Dutch waiter was very pleasant. The bus trip was very pleasant, to Trier and the Moselle area. The area is beautiful and good for walking. Wine tasting was a nice trip into the village.
Wir haben als Gäste im Ort Veldenz dort angerufen um zu erfragen ob eine Reservierung zum Essen möglich wäre, leider wurde uns freundlich mitgeteilt, dass dort nur niederländische Gäste bewirtet werden ,da es sich offenbar um ein Hotel derer handelt, Schade ,das sie unter sich bleiben möchten ....aber durchaus auch okay ! Jeder wie er mag !
