We were traveled by Heidelberg to spend a nice day in Aichelberg with food. Upon arrival we reserved a table for 2 persons in friendly service. After a nice walk in the area we parked our camper in the spacious car park next to the restaurant and placed us on a parking bench on the property. Shortly afterwards a gentleman appeared in cooking clothes and looked at us unfriendly and suspicious. Something intimidated I told him that we would later visit our reserved table in the restaurant. A short time later, the same Lord appeared again and blasphemed that we should disappear after the meal and look for a campsite in the area. I then spoke to the service that had accepted the reservation and told her that after this incident we lost all interest in this place. The lady apologised for the behavior of the man, but he had my opinion about this unholy man, whether cook or owner did not change. Conclusion: An absolutely inferior attitude towards us. Motorhomes not desired. Never again! P.S. The spacious car park offers enough space for many vehicles.
Das Restaurant liegt im Schwarzwaldörtchen Aichelberg, fernab vom touristischem Rummel. Aichelberg seelbst hat nur 1200 Einwohner, trotzdem kann man von Glück reden, wenn man in der Gaststube am Abend einen freien Tisch findet. Das liegt daran, dass der Inhaber Herr Volz die Gäste mit seinen regionalen Kockkünsten verwöhnt. Das Fleisch hat eine selten gute Qualität, die Preise sind niedrig und die Athmosphäre im alten Gastraum ist urig und gemütlich, was vielleicht an der alten Kukucksuhr oder dem schönen alten Kachelofen liegen mag. Der Service ist schnell, nett und zuvorkommend. Wann immer wir in der Nähe im Schwarzwald unterwegs sind, kehren wir im Grünen Baum ein. Was noch zu erwähnen wäre, ist die hausgemachte Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte, die ihresgleichen sucht.
