This is a lovely little club and so nicely presented ...reception staff excellent and so to most of the bar and restaurant/bistro staff are mostly pleasant...one rogue staff member on the day ...she was a snappy tom! We haven't been for some time due to the fact our Shire and St George areas have so many restaurants and so little time! ... We were heaps disappointed with our meals not one meal presented as Chef cooked quality ... I can do so much better myself and their salad was so lazy ... opened a pre-washed bag of greens and empty some on a plate ..that is such a low standard .. a busy working mum may be tempted to do this but how dare they and charge heaps for the privilege. OMG!!! My friends/family and I used to love this place. However the last 6 months the Lantern Club has been producing terrible food. We keep going back, trying to give it another chance, but yesterday was enough. 8 of us turned up for a friends farewell and the food we ordered was dry; the grilled chicken burger special that our wife's ordered, came out and was a chicken snitzel burger. When asked why we got this, the staff responded by saying we forget to switch over the specials and that was our lunch special, and to top it off, our drinks order came out incorrectly (coffees). We dined here last night (Saturday) at the restaurant Mazi & thoroughly enjoyed it. The club is not big, especially when you compare it to other well known nearby clubs, but we didn't come here for the club, although it does look good with modern furnishings & the club's entrance staff are polite & friendly. Now for the restaurant...it's good - the service is friendly & the wait time between the meals timely. And as for the food; it was good. As it turned out we ended up eating pizza & pasta, but they were all different & there were no complaints. Went for dinner here tonight with a party of 7.On entering the venue looked lovely.The waitress was friendly.But thats about all I can say thats nice.Meals very disapointing.The menu is small with not a lot to choose from.Meals were pub meals at restuarant prices.Returned a steak that was well done instead of medium as ordered, came back exactly the same..well done.Meals were small servings.The steak was accompanied by a side of mash potato..thats it. Not another vege in sight.No childrens menu available..told to order a half size dish of the menu..3 choices.Sorry to say can't recommend this venue.

What a pleasant surprise to be greeted by mariachi singers at the Lantern Club in Roselands. The place was in full swing, nicely decorated and staff in Mexican attire. The atmosphere was vibrant with mariachi singers circling the room and playing some wonderful tunes.There were 2 menus, the regular and a Mexican themed. There was a great variety of selections available to please everyone.The staff were very accommodating, polite and always ready to please.The Lantern club has become a regular place for us as membership is very affordable.Will definitely be back.
Upon entering this establishment we were greated by very friendly and professional staff. We dinned in the restaurant which was well appointed with quality furnishings and decor. Our waitress Susie was very polite and helpful in making our meal choices. I had ravioli, very tasty and hubby had lasagne, it was a large meal so be aware, value for money. We shared salad, avocado salad, and fries. For desert we shared the gelato. Overall a pleasant afternoon after a big day shopping.
Went back tonight after some time away! How can such a wonderful place go down hill so quickly!!! Ordered grilled salmon and requested vegetables in place of salad! Was told that was not possible so received it with lettuce and onion!!!! No one's meal was any better! Loved this place - the ambience, the staff but they are run off their feet with the new arrangements! 40 minute wait for coffee!!!! Probably won't be back sadly - too many better places around
Had lunch with friends in the new Mazi restaurant. Every meal was amazing. We bought a number of dishes and shared them as recommended. We loved the pizza from the new pizza oven and the Blue Eye was the best ive tasted. Its wonderful that we can get table service now. The staff here are so lovely. The restaurant is beautiful and you dont feel like you're in a club at all. We will definately be back!

We have been going to the Lantern Club since it opened. Had 3 private family functions there and couldn't have been happier.The food is absolutely amazing and the cocktails just as good.The staff are an absolute delight, always smiling and very helpful with anything we need. Definitely deserves a 10star rating Highly recommended.CheersRita Tabet
Haven't been to this Restaurant for a long time This club needs to fix its menus up to offer the customer what they want not what suits the club. You cannot even have a jug of gravy if you want that The customer is not paramount here which is why I won't be returning
