Lao Pot is hands down the best hot pot restaurant in the metro Detroit area! The staff is always incredibly friendly and quick. The food is consistently excellent, with a perfectly umami hot pot broth and BBQ skewers that are incredibly juicy. I've been a loyal customer for the past four years, and I have no intention of changing that. They also offer fantastic happy hour deals, and their cocktails are delightful, featuring a fun tropical drink menu. If you're in the mood for a sweet finish to your meal, don't miss out on their famous mango ice cream popsicle, which has gone viral. I highly recommend supporting Lao Pot!

I have nothing but great things to say about this restaurant! Having lived in Taiwan for a while, I often find myself craving some of my favorite dishes, with hot pot being at the top of the list. This was even more delicious than I remembered. The staff was friendly, extremely attentive, and provided us with all the information we needed to place our orders, especially since it's been a while since our last visit. If you appreciate delicious, authentic cuisine, I highly recommend checking this place out. We will definitely be returning!

If you enjoy hot pot, this is the perfect spot for you. Even if you’re not a fan, it’s still a worthwhile experience. For those who prefer not to share, you can opt for an individual pot with one or two soup bases. The staff is very friendly and more than willing to assist. The food quality is good, but the portion sizes are relatively small. I recommend trying a mix of proteins, vegetables, and noodles. Be sure to order a variety of dishes so you and your friends can taste different options.

Another favorite of ours is the watermelon drink; it's incredibly refreshing and not overly sweet. You can order it by the glass or by the jug. Overall, the experience here is usually great, though service can vary. Sometimes, you’ll encounter someone who is attentive and skilled, while other times, you might get someone who doesn't check in on you at all. As a bonus, this restaurant is conveniently located near the 168 Asian market, making it easy to stop by for shopping afterward!

The service here is incredibly friendly and quick. The sauce bar is always spotless and well-stocked. The food is outstanding, and their BBQ is particularly excellent. I've visited multiple times, and each experience has been fantastic. The lunch special offers an amazing value. It's a wonderful spot to enjoy lunch or dinner with friends or family.

This isn’t the best spot for all-you-can-eat hot pot; the restaurant doesn’t seem fully prepared for AYCE service yet. There are no desserts available, and the service leaves much to be desired—it's necessary to constantly call staff to place food orders. Additionally, it’s not very kid-friendly. Food quality gets a 4/5.

The food was delicious, and our server was very helpful in answering all our questions since it was our first visit. It was fun to create our own dipping sauce—I even looked up some recipes online for inspiration. The meat was fresh, and the broth had a great flavor!
