I'm going to be brutally honest and expose myself here I have NEVER had Thai food before coming here. I always thought that I hated curry because I wasn't very fond of the smell, but boy was I wrong. A friend of mine had recently convinced me to come here with her and I am very glad that I did. She is a huge fan of Thai food and this is her favorite place so I knew I could trust it. After studying the menu extremely carefully, we split the Basil Rice Dish and Yellow Curry and I got a Thai iced tea to drink. It was AMAZING. I decided to dine at this restaurant based on its high ratings. The restaurant is located next to a Thai grocery store, so I assumed the food would be fresher than at other Thai restaurants. I ordered the 1/2 lemon roasted chicken, which was quite salty due to the soy sauce marinade. I also tried the Larb with BBQ chicken and sweet chili sauce. The Thai beef boat noodle was disappointing, with a thick brown gravy and overcooked noodles. Boat noodles are supposed to have al dente noodles boiled in water with a meaty soup. During a visit to my aunt, I was feeling hungry and hoping to find a good restaurant nearby. Luckily, I came across a great option. My server, Jee, was friendly, quick, and efficient. I placed my order and my food was served promptly. I'm glad I ordered a mild dish because they don't skimp on flavor here. The restaurant has a small parking lot but there is also street parking available. I visited for lunch and was seated promptly. While it's not a large establishment, it's evident that it's a local favorite.
I love the great atmosphere and delicious food at this restaurant. My favorites are the drunken noodles and lemongrass chicken. Every dish I've tried here has been excellent, made with quality ingredients. The interior is also lovely, and the staff are fantastic. Just a heads up, the medium spice level is pretty hot! The prices at this restaurant are very reasonable considering the high quality of the food. The service was excellent and very friendly. This was our first visit and we were impressed with the authenticity of the Thai cuisine. We highly recommend trying the rice ball salad, the green curry, and the chicken liver skewers, as they were the highlights of our meal.
My friend wanted to go to a restaurant that was featured on Check, please! Bay Area. I found an old broadcast featuring Larb. The people said the food was great, but very spicy hot. My friends ordered no spicy. I had the Crispy Rice Ball larb with mild spicy. Fabulous! Next time I will try medium. We had a wonderful meal together.
