So after a tennis workout we decided to have Mexican dinner. There are A LOT of Mexican restaurants now here in Bartlett. I have read about Las Palmitas and thought we would give it a try. This is small place compared to most restaurants around. No patio but It so quaint with enough tables to social distance. The waitress brought us chips and salsa. The chips reminded me of the ones served at Las Delicias. Although the ones at Las Delicias are warm. Salsa here is not as good as some of the other Mexican restaurants I've been to. Las Palmitas is a great choice for Mexican food. This is homemade Mexican food served in simple surroundingsby a very friendlyand attentive staff. For starters, let's start with the chips and salsa. Obviously homemade and very good. For my main entree I chose the steak fajitas with corn tortillas and was impressed with both the quantity and quality of my lunch. The homemade hot sauce only enhanced my wonderful lunch. The rice was ok, but the charro beans were an excellent example of how a simple thing like a bean can be elevated to an amazing culinary wonder. I drove past this place for years and never saw many people in the parking lot. One day a friend said hey let 's get Mexican, I know a great place, and we ended up here. He wasn 't wrong. Cheese dip is good the salsa even better. The portions are generous without being to much. It 's enough food to get you very full without making you regret it. Everything was tasty, fresh, and arrived hot to the table making for a very good first experience. The refried beans are amazing and worth a try, its not the standards paste looking kind you get everywhere else. On follow up visits this place has become a favorite for the Bartlett area. Definitely a recommended place to stop in and grab a bite.
This place is still a solid 5 stars for me. Their homemade chips and salsa are my favorite in town and their cheese dip is delicious as well. I got their Mexican steak tacos and they were PERFECT. I sampled my kids' food too the kids chicken burrito came with sooo much on it and it was DELICIOUS! It was my daughter's birthday and the waitress brought her out some kind of seriously yummy cake that was almost like a cinnamon sugar cheesecake on the inside with caramel and whip cream on the outside. Holy. Moly. That'll be a new birthday tradition! The one thing they could improve (in my book) is to add margaritas to their menu!!! And an outdoor seating space! I hope that happens!!!

My first time visiting this small gem in Bartlett, TN. Since it's 2/22/22 and Tuesday, I wanted tacos. The staff was friendly as my bf and I walked in the door. The inside was clean and smelled heavenly. We were waited on immediately. We always start off with cheese dip and the salsa, cheese dip and chips did not disappoint. I ordered fish tacos and my bf ordered steak tacos. We had to try each other's to see who had the best... it was a tie. The seasoning of the fish was spot on and the sauce gave it a special flavor. Some of the best fish tacos I've ever had. If you haven't stopped in, I highly recommend it.
Very delicious food and great service very good value too. Generous chips salsa (free) while you wait, generous fresh chunky guacamole can be ordered, together with very tasty street tacos (among other things). Food feels very authentic, simple, and very tasty without any excess grease etc. We make a point of coming back several times a month (at a minimum).
We placed a to-go order for three fajitas and two orders of red fish. Unfortunately, the fish had very little meat and was filled with bones. The total bill was quite high, and we left feeling disappointed.
Unfortunately, this location has permanently closed. I saw the sign today, and I’m beyond upset. It was a fantastic restaurant, and we really loved the food.

Typical small Mexican restaurant. Limited menu. I had the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce. Good but not outstanding.
Best Mexican food in Bartlett. I wish they could serve margaritas and they would be perfect
