To qualify the establishment must make/cook as much of the food as possible from fresh and not simply reheat or use industrial mass produced products.2 of our party went for the formule and the bulots (whelks or sea snails) where excellent as was the homemade mayonaise. I have been there with some Norwegian friends from Bergen. We have chosen the restaurant because of the location and good reviews on the internet. Needles to say that the experience was not good as we thought. We stayed at the restaurant for three hours, dishes were nothing special, without particular care in plating. I would say my mother's cuisine is better. And mum is mum but is not a great chef! What can I say: not all that glitters is gold. What a pity. I hope to be back one day, anyhow.
This restaurant was recommended by a local tour guide who took us to the beaches in Normandy. He said it was the best combination of good food and reasonable prices in Bayeux. I thought he was spot on. We had a great meal there for a good price after a long day of touring. The menu was varied enough that everyone in our group found something they liked. I will definitely go here again on my next trip to Bayeux.
Bayeux was busy as it was a bit of a rainy day. This restaurant is very close to the cathedral, and was therefore also very busy, but the friendly waitress made time to find us a table. There's a large menu with plenty of different items - we all found something we liked, and it was very good food, served surprisingly quickly given how many people were there. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated.

Simple traditional dishes without chichis with local products, servings are generous. Choose between dozens of dishes and dozens of entries, I didn't take dessert so I didn't evaluate much. The place is quite unusual in a fierce campagnard style. Count 10 to 15 euros for a dish. Service pretty fast.
I would rate it with 3 stars relating to the food quality and varity but what decided for 1 star was the service. Waited for over 20 minutes for a waiter despite asking twice.The restaurant say they are vegan friendly but the few options do not indicate it.Big disappointed
This quaint little restaurant could be wonderful, it is warm and inviting and beautifully located at the foot of Bayeux Cathedral ..
But, it is not.
very good value price quality, and what does not spoil the frame is very pleasant and servers (es) to your service!

This was an excellent use of my money and time on one of the evenings I had free time on my own.
