I have been a regular customer for over 7 months, but last night's experience made me feel unwelcome at this establishment. Despite waiting over 1.5 hours for our food to come out, tables seated after us were served before us. There were no apologies, refills, or good service. This place is not cheap, and I don't mind paying for quality food and service, but last night we didn't receive what we ordered and they didn't correct the bill. I didn't have the patience to wait any longer, so I paid and left. We had considered going somewhere else, and in hindsight, we should have. There is a fantastic Mexican restaurant in town that provides excellent service and makes you feel valued as a customer...
I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for quite some time and have always been satisfied. However, on my most recent visit, I was extremely disappointed. They were completely out of steaks, catfish, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, and salads. It took over an hour to receive our appetizer, and patrons who arrived after us were served before us. When our food finally arrived, over an hour and a half later, several orders were incorrect. To top it off, one member of our group found a wad of straw wrappers in their chicken fried steak. This was truly a terrible experience, with one mishap after another. I will not be returning.
My parents live in this town and they like to come to this place every now and then because it's a small town. Despite its size, it's a good spot for KC strips, chicken fried steaks, beer, and margaritas. The service can be a bit slow since there are only 1-2 servers, but the fried chicken livers with ranch or gravy are tasty. Make sure to order your KC strip medium rare. There's a small bar area with a couple of TVs as well.
I am concerned about the fact that my son was served alcohol despite being visibly intoxicated and unable to walk. After this, he was attacked by a group of drunk older men and ended up in the hospital. I am aware of the laws regarding this matter and will be taking legal action. Reserva una mesa ahora
This restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, unless you happen to be in Caldwell. I found it amusing that the only other bar in town is located right next door. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere has good acoustics. The food I ordered was delicious as well.
