If you're a foodie or passionate about good food...go here! Better than most Michelin restaurants I've been to. I have been to Michelin 1 and 2 star restaurants that are nowhere near as good as L'Atelier. This was one of our favorite dinners during our 9 days in Switzerland. The restaurant should have Michelin stars, it's that good! Every course was a visual and culinary delight. The restaurant has a fresh, welcoming , unpretentious and cozy environment with a nice view out huge windows or downstairs and outdoor seating. Charming restaurant with impeccable, friendly service and outstanding food. We had the Hummer Ravioli (Lobster Ravioli), Tomato I Burratta , and Foie Gras gebraten (fried foie gras) appetizers-delicious. For our mains, we had the Lammfilet (lamb filet) and the Beef dish which were amazing. For dessert we had the Warm Berries with balsamic reduction . That didn 't sound good to me, but my wife said I would like it. She was right, sweet and delicious. The waitress was wonderful and engaging-genuinely interested in us and our travels. This is an excellent fine dining restaurant in Zermatt! Service is awesome and very accommodating. From our experience, good food is tricky to find in Switzerland. Of note this is fine dining so portions are smaller. 3-4 dishes filled us up and was well worth it. All the dishes here are prepared by a personal chef and have a ton of flavor! The lamb dish is absolutely incredible. The espresso martinis are handmade and also awesome! Highly recommend this restaurant!
We had dinner there when we took a trip to Switzerland in July. The portion of each food was very delicate. After eating three courses we were full, but could not resist having a dessert because all the desserts looked so tempting. Exceptional birthday dinner for my husband. We had the chef tasting menu. The best meal we had in Switzerland. The dishes were exotic. Wine selection was good too. The chef, his wife, and the waitress were very warm and sweet. Excellent services. We kept talking about the experiences after we came home. Will definitely be back!
