This restaurant was a last minute recommendation from Alexis, our concierge at Ritz. The restaurant situated on the border of France and Switzerland. It is almost half an hour from our hotel but it is well worth the drive. The restaurant was decorated like a French cottage. It is cozy and warm with flowers everywhere. The owner is a Korean fellow, very friendly and extremely helpful in putting together a menu for us. It was our first time there and obviously we have to try their salt crusted chicken. we went with some friends in perfect late summer weather and sat (we obviously had reserved) on the charming, shaded outdoor terrace. the selection à la carte is great and we chose the promising chicken in salt crust (juicy and very good)...and the black cod (very good, but perhaps a little on the sweet side. so neglect the more obvious filets de perches (from the lake) and other tempting dishes. the excellent pettynesses and free precursors compensate almost gloomy and precursors, although some gloomy (especially the tartes and the ice cream) were excellent. there is a good wine selection, from Switzerland and elsewhere, and the service is both good and friendly. the restaurant is located i...
the place is very pretty, but unpredictable. but the service is excellent and eating is excellent. starting from my assessment from the desert I must say that the tarte didin is the best I had in’ my life! the teig is thin and tender and. the apples are not too sweet. for the first we had her famous huh. the best I had in the Swiss. the appetizer was a cream of spargel, which was very good! not the best I had in my life, but still very good. even the brot they serve is great! home made and served warm. in short, an excellent place I will certainly return. the price was comparable to the quality. but hey! life is short!
You absolutely must try the chicken at L’Auberge d’Hermance. I have never tasted a chicken like this before. Succulent, tender and very tasty. Service is top level: friendly yet professional and fast. Atmosphere is rich and traditional. Great place to take your business partners to. Valet parking is a classy addition to the overall experience as there is nowhere to park in Hermance. Please don’t forget to tip the valet) Not all starters are worth your money though. Wir haben hier 2 Nächte verbracht und auch zu Abend gegessen. Das Essen war wunderbar und auch der Service trotz vollem Haus stets aufmerksam, mit einem Lächeln auf den Lippen und mit einer erfrischenden Prise Humor. Das Poulet in der Salzkruste ist traumhaft und absolut empfehlenswert! Auch das Frühstück liess keine Wünsche offen und alles war frisch zubereitet. Wir werden auf alle Fälle in diese kleine Oase unweit des Grossstadttrubels zurückkehren .
