Laurenzo's restaurant is located in the 610 loop, south of I 10 (the Katy Freeway) on Washington Ave. The restaurant serves delicious food with proven and genuine family recipes from the generations. The Laurenzo family has a deep tradition of serving the best quality food and offers great customer service. Everything is fresh, made daily from scratch and with the magic touch that can only offer a Laurenzo. You cannot miss Laurenzo's restaurant; the name is printed in large letters directly on the side of the building. A beautiful wooden facade with many windows is facing the street. The architecture has character and there is a charming little canopy while you go through the entrance. I am a sports fan and love my hometown Houston Sport as well as my Texas Aggies, so I was delighted to see a ton of memories everywhere in the square. And for you Longhorn fans, or any other school for this matter, there is no discrimination here I saw memories from all schools. The server told me that much of it is for sale, donated with proceeds to your favorite non-profit. What a cool concept! You can come to Laurenzo 's, get a beautiful juicy Prime Rib, an autographed Earl Campbell jersey and they will donate the proceeds to my favorite love? Hmmmm, sounds like a win, win, win! Well, let the games begin! We drove to the bar to try some of their special cocktails: the Prickly Pear Margarita and Moscow's Mule. Both were wonderful choices, especially the Prickly Pear Margarita a delicious starter safe. You also have an extensive selection of wines and serve a number of Top Texas Craft Beers. We went on to the very spacious dining area, thought this would be a perfect place for groups. After looking at the extensive menu I saw that it would be a hard choice that decides what to eat; I just wanted to give it all. We chose a few Top Texas Craft Beers, Karbach 's Hoppadillo IPAs. Together with the great craft beer, we ordered a few apps: the Crab Cake and the Spinach Artichoke Dip. First the Crab Cake: colossal lump crab, which is slightly baked, then fried pan and served with Remoulade sauce. I don't think I've ever seen a crab cake with so much real crab meat. Usually there are more cakes than crabs, but not here... so amazing! Laurenzo 's Spinach Artichoke Dip, a unique and tasty version of an old favorite, is served with homemade chips and salsa. I used the chips with the dip, salsa and sour cream. All right! I had noticed something unique on the menu and had to try: Blackened Prime Rib Pizza. This delicious pizza was built with spicy, black prime rib, mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil. The crust was made by scratches and absolutely divine. The main rib was cut thinly and placed over the cake so you can enjoy it with every bite. Wow! I had heard great things about the corn they serve here in the restaurant of Laurenzo. It seemed strange to me. I mean, I like framed corn, but was not sure how something so common could be so special. Well, I ate these words almost as fast as I ate the best corn I've ever had! They roast the fresh corn and take it directly from the goat; there are even a few darkened cores that give him a little crisp. This delicious side would not be a bad Entrée if you just doubled it. Ha! The framed corn is definitely something you need to try on your visit Laurenzo 's. After all, it was time for Dessert! We ordered the Key Lime Pie with whipped cream (mandarin, lime fitting and a Graham cracker crust) and the Italian Cream Cake, a four-layered amaretto and pecan cake with mascara frosting. Unbelievable! Just another first example for the ingenious of scratches cooking here. Although the crust on the Key Lime Pier combed perfectly with the filling, it should be at least cost by itself. What a beautiful dessert! Regarding the Italian Cream Cake, it was full of nuts and had this perfect mascara frosting: thick and creamy, but not too sweet. I felt like I died and went to heaven. My visit to Laurenzo's restaurant was nothing but amazing. I understand that it is owned by the same family that brought us the El Tiempo, another favorite of me that we will soon show. Because now I say goodbye to the Laurenzo family and this great experience, but you can bet that I will be back! Back to lunch, happy hour, dinner, brunch... Back for a piece Key Lime cake safe!

Laurenzo’s restaurant is a restaurant that is bred by a line of Houston culinary delight. The owner, Domenic Laurenzo, is the grandson of nothing but Mom Ninfa and Domenic Tommy Lorenzo himself. The family also owns beloved Laurenzos El Tiempo, but this is not your usual Tex-Mex joint. Laurenzo’s, a family of Mexican and Italian roots in Houston, know something or two about Tex-Mex, Italian and Cajun. Every bite brings you a little closer to the history of this renowned culinary family. Once again, the Laurenzo family opens their arms to the Houston Restaurant Weeks, where they will offer multi-course options for brunch, lunch and dinner. You can take three courses for a mere $35 at noon or 3 courses for $45 dinner, where some of the revenues benefit the Houston Food Bank. This is a restaurant that should be at the top of your HRW tower.

The best restaurant in town! The Laurenzo family is a legend for food in this city. Big Italian, Mexican, Continental, Texas Steak... we tried everything on the menu and never disappointed. The food service is phenomenal. Do not miss the first-class rib pizza or home smoked salmon served hot from cold with their special dill diving. So delicious you can definitely make a meal with a bottle of Sonoma Cutrer. You'll thank me, I promise.

My husband and I went with a friend. We split a 3 egg omelette with Crepe style pancakes and mascara grits with sausage. I could not believe how to prepare atrocities; they were very creamy and delicious. It is an excellent place, and we enjoyed its excellent service. As a resident of Houston, we tried her Mexican food (El Tiempo), but we would go back there to taste her other dishes.
