Lawlers Barbecue

We got take out. Place was empty when I walked in. Diner style tables weren't very clean. People in Alabama can't seem to find the garbage bins I guess. Having said that the food was great. Wife got some pulled pork thingy which she loved (as did our dog) and I got the loaded baked potato. OMG. That could NOT have been one potato. It was so large I'd say it was the size of 4 medium potatoes you'd get at a grocery store. I did my best to stuff it all in but left a few bites, which again our dog appreciated. We'd order take out there again for sure.

Was welcomed soon as I walked in the door! Super friendly staff. Overall I liked it. The ribs were a little tough, the pulled pork was moist and tasty. The place was pretty empty and the country music was a little to loud. The restaurant was very clean. I'd be willing to give it one more try when I am in town again.

I had read about this place, so had very high expectations. My experience was that it was just another run of the mill barbecue place. Had the ribs and pulled pork. Tried three of the sides. Slaw was interesting and tasty, baked beans were very good, Mac and cheese was very disappointing.

BBQ. is better than Bob G's. At least it was today. Brunswick stew is cold so not sure what that is all about. Have to take it home to heat it up. The loaded baked potato was enough for 4 meals and delicious.

I believe this place has the best baked potatoes. Staff nice fast. Get order correct and fast.
