Mine were barely cooked through but if chef had cooked them anymore, they would've surely gone dry. We came here for brunch with a table of the place was busy and the menu had so many options it was hard to decide I ended up just having the fruit toast with cultured butter and a jam. Others ordered the fruit bowls? Maybe the Acai Bowls, eggs benny and deep fried hash dish. Coffees came out quick and my almond milk mocha was well made The food took ages but was really delicious! This place is located along a street with many other cafes. Competition is stiff but layup differentiates itself from other cafes with unique dishes on the menu. I tried the savoury crepes and a side of onion rings. I didn't expect the portions to be so huge! At first I was really enjoying the savoury crepes which were very flavoursome with the cheese sauce. However after a while I found it too rich and cheesy and slightly overwhelming since the whole dish was drenched in the sauce. Maybe having half the amount of sauce or having it on the side would suit some better. Overall slightly pricey but the portions and flavour more than make up for it. Worth the try!
the personal here is always friendly. the place is big and you can get a table with minimal waiting time that is great! was already often here when we live on the street and most of the things tried on their old menu and they are good, but nothing like wow. I tested the new menu yesterday and it was okay, although I noticed that the prices had risen? the only case, however, is the waiting period of the order. I would say it is normal to wait for at least minutes until they get her to eat (the personally I think is very long). that was before the reno and after reno while I recommend this place, I think they must be ready to wait.

at the first visit of layup and oh boy I was with a very positive impression behind me. perfect small side street cafe for brunch with friends who welcome them feeling and satisfied with not only the amazing food, but also the excellent customer service. the personal was really friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. I had the chicken sluice with a side of chips and it was so delicious especially the sauce. the food was very full, but the money worth (very cheap prices). I'd like to come back!
First time trying their brunch menu on the weekend. The coffee was good to start with, ambience was nice and relax. We tried the bacon, egg and mushroom wrap which is quite nice and good size. The egg hollandaise is yummy with fresh ingredients as we could taste them! It is too bad that it's got a bit too much sauce that everything was sort of drench in the sauce but otherwise it could've been a really good dish.
The karage chicken burger was simply delightful and just the right size. The wedges were really good and so were the onion rings. My friend had the Rueben and while it was delicious it wasn't what he expected.
service is friendly, but that wait at a weekend is long and then my bagel was stale and missing ingredients, I had terrible hash brews that were not properly cooked here also before.
