Enjoyed a nice dinner in the courtyard of this restaurant. Do not be hesitant based on the exterior view on the street side. When you walk through the restaurant, you will suddenly enter their inner courtyard, a nice garden, with roughly 10-12 tables. During the night, the nice garden illumination becomes active and gives it another nice atmosphere. We went for the 31 euro formula menu. Starters: "Nougat"-style goat cheese, melon and jambon; and aubergine, thin lamb slices, tomato compote. Very delicious. Mains: pork (very nicely cooked) and fish filet. This is a charming restaurant with excellent service. The people who run it are delightful, making you feel welcome and special on each visit. We always take our friends here and all have been glowing with their praise. The set menus are a little more than some locally but the produce is delicious, portions generous and the plates inviting. On our last visit, there were three of us and every plate was a joy to look at and eat. All courses are equally as good and in my view this is definitely in the top three or four places in Uzes and surrounding areas. Always worth a visit but especially when you can use the terrace.
The food, service and wine are always very reliable. But at this time of year, the beautifully lit and landscaped interior courtyard garden is the real draw. Calm, shaded, comfy chairs, with linen napkins. We enjoyed the 31 euro 3 course menu. High spots included a "nougat" of goat cheese, served with melon and ham. Roasted slices of lamb topped eggplant toasts, sitting on a peppery sauce. Roasted white fish served with ratatouille and a baked polenta. Apricot sorbet was intensely flavoured, served with fresh apricots and bits of meringue.
This was a perfect evening in every way. The food and wine were both excellent and the host and hostess were most helpful in assisting us with our choices despite our very poor French. We also dined at a more famous restaurant in town and rated it a poor second to Le 80 Jours. As it was night time we did not experience the garden. Le 80 ours will be first on our list when we return to Uzes!!!

Uzes seems to specialise in these restaurants - they look worryingly quiet on the outside and you begin to wonder if you've made a mistake, only for you to realise that the 'action' is through the back - where you will find other diners enjoying their meal in a beautiful courtyard.Lovely meal and good service in a very pleasant environment. What more do you need ? :)
The food was excellent quality and beautifully cooked. The service was impeccable and the ambiance great. The wine is reasonable priced as is the meal. I had lamb and my husband had beef. Both were cooked to perfection and served with lovely vegetables. The desserts were great and beautifully presented. A great evening.

We had lunch at this restaurant on a fine and mild day, sitting in the garden enjoying the fresh air. The food and wine were both very nice and the service was friendly. One of the better places to eat in Uzes.

We were truly impressed with food and service.quiet ambiance gave focus to the food. Both mains, scallops and lamb were outstanding. Good selection of wines of the region.
The set menu is very good with good options for each course. Sit in the enclosed garden if you can. Make sure to make a reservation.
