Deducted 1 star for service as it did take a few minutes of staring around and trying to catch someone's eye for the bill (which is somewhat normal for restaurants anyway), and 1 star deducted for food as Beef was quite chewy and duck was just a bit weird smelling but other than that, everything else was incredible. They have 2 options, Chinese or Japanese. We selected Japanese. You get to then choose from Buffet or Menu. Buffet was 52CHF per person. We chose buffet. You get to order a maximum of 4 items per person before you're locked out of the tablet that you order from for 10-15 minutes or so. We managed 16 item...
I was there on a Saturday night to eat the sll you can eat buffet. The quality of the food is poor and not always fresh (calamars). The quantity on the buffet was bad. Some of the plates where empty and never get filled during...all the evening (noodles, spring rolls). First and last time I was in thid restaurant, I have no reason to go back there again. There are much better Asian Restaurants in Montreux.
Not much to say about this restaurant. In terms of quality-quantity-price, it’s tip top. A big effort is made for the presentation and the sushi is made to order. We went there in the evening and the dishes were good. Small downside for desserts where the choice is very limited and canned fruit. Very good advice for food allergies (gluten)
Switzerland in general is an expensive place to eat, and Le Basilic offers good food at a reasonable cost. It also offers a choice of a buffet, with a very good selection from which to choose, or table service from the menu. In addition, the...staff is friendly and the surroundings clean and pleasant as a good restaurant should be.

The Japanese buffet is really good and fairly priced. If you are looking for good sushi and rolls in Montreux, this is the place.
