An attractive cafe bistrot around the corner from Henry's Bar we received a warm welcome and taken to a small table for two in the compact inside dining room the staff were great and worked hard as the place was packed, inside and out that's when it all went wrong ! Customers around us were being served that had come in much later than us and after 45 minutes we enquired where was our pizzas nobody apologised for our order being overlooked forgotten and miraculously 2 pizzas suddenly appeared which had obviously been taken out of the oven prematurely as both pizza bases were not properly cooked, still semi raw dough we reluctantly paid the bill and left the uneaten pizzas on the table for al...
Ce n'est plus aussi bon qu'avant, avec la clientèle estivale la qualité baisse et les prix augmentent. Ils s'en fichent, c'est du one shot avec les touristes, c'est dommage. Temps d'attente exagéré pour être servi, petite portion de (très, trop) petites moules, frites trop cuites, 3 feuilles de salade comptées en supplément à 5 euros et petits pains maison qui me rappellent quand j'ai essayé d'en faire la première fois ! Evitez ce restau si vous passez par Vence.
Good food and value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful early in the evening. Wonderful music in the square outside made for a very enjoyable evening... until we wanted to settle the bill. It took an hour after desert to get the bill. Staff appeared to be consciously avoiding making eye contact. First request for the bill was acknowledged but ignored. Only managed to pay after stepping in path of staff and asking for the bill for a second time.
Absolutely appalling. Mussels had not been cleaned so came with beards and barnacles and appeared to have been steamed in dishwater such was their lack of flavour. The paella was a disgrace to the name of that dish, tasteless and the squid was still cold gave the impression that the whole dish was tipped out of a tub from the freezer and microwaved. At least the mussels in there had been cleaned! Service indifferent.
