Le Bistrot du Roi - Reservar una mesa

This small restaurant is in the middle of the village and when we visited it was the first night under new ownership, therefore any reviews written before July are irrelevant. The service was professional and friendly and I liked the fact that we were...not charged for mineral water. We started with terrine of rabbit which was very good and mackerel pate which was fine. The slow cooked beef with potato lasagna' was good as was the cod with a vegetable lasagna' although unfortunately one end of my fish was oversalted and inedible. Wines are very reasonably priced and the final bill a pleasant surprise.

Having lived in the area for more than sixteen years, this probably one the very best Bistros, that I have has the great pleasure of visiting, eating in and enjoying very good quality wine! The owner, Alexandra and his wife Marie (the chef) provide such...excellent service and food which would be very difficult to criticise in any way! All food is prepared in house as rarity in this day and age! Always, a truly genuine friendly welcome together with a delightful ambience!

I've been there times. The food is always good but the service is long. Also I find it noisy..I don't think they have any noise absorbing walls (I think this exists) and the toilet is in a strange part of the restaurant, too near...tables of other diners.

The lunch menu offers more choice than does the dinner menu, but all choices are delicious and appetizingly presented. For lunch, you must absolutely reserve. The atmosphere is cordial and reserved at the same time.

Visited this restaurant for the first time today for a business lunch. Very good food and very friendly staff. Definitely will return to try for dinner.
