After being let down on a reservation the heavens opened in chinon and trying to find a restaurant in chinon became a nightmare-we finally opted for this traditional brasserie and were pleasantly surprised by our experience-the people were very accommodating and we chose coté de boeuf between the two of us-This was good simple food at a really good price!

Visited the Café de la Paix on a Monday night for dinner. Food prices are reasonable for the location, although the drinks did seem a bit pricey. We were served quickly and the food was very nice (we had burgers and the chicken dish). We can not fault the service as the waiter was extremely pleasant. Would recommend.

friendly and courteous service. the dishes belong to the classic brewery, without chichi but copied and cooked. the lasagna, a dish of the day during our passage were very honest and allowed to resume the bike without being too loaded. ideal for a quick lunch on the riverside and simple in this tourist town.

a brewery with very good dishes home and hearty and varied welcome all year round at the foot of the statue of Rabelais and the edge of old-fashioned vehicles are embarrassing when you are on the terrace to discover and rediscover

my favorite place to drink a coffee in the morning on the beautiful terrace with views of the come and rebelais. an extremely friendly welcome. high quality, hearty, good chinon. a very good address if you're on the city.
