The server is refused to serve us, we are three adults and one child. The waiter told us that he doesn't have a table for three at least four people to be able to occupy a table. When we said it's not normal that we're denied because we're three people he told us that they have too many people so 3 customers don't interest them. so too many people would like to go to this restaurant we advise you to go elsewhere if you are not enough or you risk having the same experience as us. We never come back again.
One evening, when bayonne seems to be sleeping (before the big popular parties), the restaurant the chistera warmly welcomed us and we were not disappointed: the kitchen is simple but very good, the menu favors local dishes, traditional: the piperade is exquisite and I will keep an excellent gustative memory of the dessert offered, a divine milk caillé prepared home. the reception is smiling, pleasant. we highly recommend this address.

We were very well received, the service was fast (and this despite the present world) and the main we ate very well !! The Basque cake was a must for us and we found it very good. The value/price ratio is quite correct, on with homemade products!! In short, it is strongly advised to all those who make a stopover in bayonne.
we were looking for a Basque cuisine restaurant but not a tourist catch. on the advice of a master charcutier we went to the chistera. after a friendly welcome and a reserved table for 15 minutes later a speciality meal with craftsmen from the delicious and hearty region. The shadow of the arcades under which we have lunch adds to the charm.

I was looking for a place for dinner alone one evening, and I fell by chance on this establishment whose map is very marked by Basque land. I was welcomed there, although I arrived around 9:15. The vast majority of dishes are "homemade". What I tasted made me want to come back.

Thanks for this delicious moment that brought us a few years back .... excellent piperade, perfect merlu and cream to the eggs of our childhood .... nice to taste traditional dishes in the bayonne!
