this place has a really good seafood paella and a chicken dish! we also had a garnel appetizer and that was something too lemony for me, but it's good. but I want to go over the paella rave because I couldn't stop eating it! the cream brûlée was good and a generous serve. the chocolate was okay. they don't really have a dessert menu and I think the third article is something like a pancake. Anyway, they had a live band on a Saturday night, the ac was kind of working because we were still pretty warm. the service started well, then it went downhill after dinner. we had to dessert the people and keep our bill. they turned out and gave us our dessert for free. we don't mind when we take photos...
I've been looking forward to trying Le Citron for some time. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment for lunch. I ordered a salmon Caesar salad, server brought me a chicken Caesar salad but graciously offered to get me a salmon Caesar salad. It came in about 1/2 the time the chicken did. The dressing was awful, some type of a Dijon water with a bit of Parmesan. I asked for gluten free and received my salad with croutons. Unfortunately the salmon wasn't fully cooked. No follow up by my server, no ice tea refill. My efforts to reach someone via their Facebook page was unsuccessful. My message was read and not replied to. I paid, tipped 20% and won't be back and unfortunately can't recommend...
How do you describe the best meal I have had in Oceanside? Two words, Le Citron. Charming setting and service like a fine dining restaurant. Helpful and suggestive yet not solicitous. Thank you Ingrid for a delivering a dining experience we really appreciated. The calamari, mushroom soup and paella were outstanding..... then, we had crème brûlée. Cuisine from around the world was had all while listening to classic standards fitting the ol' Victorian house that hosted us. Thank you
This was my first visit, and it was fantastic – definitely worth the trip! Parking is a bit limited, but there’s plenty of additional parking just around the corner. The steak and eggs were excellent; the steak was cooked medium and perfectly seasoned. My burger was juicy, with the brie cheese perfectly melted, sweet caramelized onions, and crispy speck. I can’t wait to try their dinner menu!

WE HAD A RESERVATION. NO ONE CAME TO SEAT US FOR QUITE SOMETIME. WE WERE FINALLY SEATED AND GIVEN MENUUS AND NO ONE EVER CAME BACK. WE LEFT. NO ONE NOTICED. HAD DINNER AT VIGILUCCIS IN ENCINTAS INSTEAD AND WERE HAPPY THAT WE HAD A GREAT MEAL! I WOULDN'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT LE CITRON. THAT SAID THE MUSIC SCENE LOOKED INTRIGUING.
what an experience. they were from most steak cuts on the menu. When we ordered the cuts they had, we received only one job and it was wrong. I think the porterhouse was a tie with the top t cut off. the night was laughing and we made the best of it. I would recommend the day they get her meat.
Went for brunch, but overall not impressed. Such a cute building with a nice deck. Waitress was very nice and drinks were good. Food was very underwhelming and service is pretty slow for how slow the restaurant was at the time. Wouldn't go back for the breakfast.
Sid, who took care of us start to finish, made the experience memorable!!!! She is just awesome with her friendly somewhat quirky style! Just made us so comfortable and totally in love with the moment!!! Hang onto her. She is the frosting on your cake!!

I am so happy we hosted my husband's birthday dinner at this restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious. We will be returning.
