We went for my husband's birthday and although I had emailed with the receptionist Marie to confirm that they would put a candle in his desert, they did not. They were even emailing with me on the day to confirm - this never happened. Bit of a shame.That being said, the food was fantastic! Can not fault any course - I had the veg ravioli to start and the pork chop - both were superb. The setting is nice but the metal / wire chairs are so uncomfortable! The pictures look more impressive than the actual setting but still nice.I though the reception (and a couple of the waiting) staff were more aloof than in any other places we went or stayed but I felt that as the hotel was luxury, the team were confirming to the roles. However, we have stayed and eater in many luxury hotels (also within the Relais & Chateaux group) and found the teams a little warmer.All in all very good - just a few minor complaints
