Le Comptoir Des Johnnies

Prior to catching the ferry the next morning, we stayed for a night in a yurt next door, and had a memorable meal to celebrate the end of our holiday. Do note that this place is, not surprisingly, very popular, and was full the night we were there. We booked about a month beforehand, and were not the first entry in the reservations list! The menu options are written on blackboards on the wall and appear to be changed regularly to include what is in season. They also give different prices for different sizes of each dish, to suit all appetites. The staff are very friendly, and the boss speaks excellent English, so no worries about interpreting what is on offer! If we were passing through Roscoff again, we would stay next door again just so we could eat at Le Comptoir again.

We were staying at the campsite next door for three nights, and had a buffet meal at the restaurant which coincided with open air music they hold on Thursdays through the summer. It was a lovely atmosphere, full of locals and dancing children. The restaurant also kindly prepared two delicious take away meals for us which made it easier with bedtimes for our little ones. Very accommodating staff, informal but great quality, views of the sea from the balcony, wonderful place to go. We also bought two artichokes for our meal the next day the best we've eaten!

We loved this place ! Apart from overlooking the bay the food is from all the local producers around. It’s fresh and delicious. The service was very easy going and friendly. And great choice of music. We will certainly come back every time we visit family ! Thanks!

We stumbled upon this place at the end of our stay but managed to get 2 visits in. An amazing experience, superb food, atmosphere and service. You will find a lot of locally sourced food and they stock local artisanal produce as well.

Very busy, need to reserve if want to be sure of a table. Fantastic food and lovely atmosphere. Well worth a visit. Go.
