Popped in upon arrival at the resort to be told that they had stopped serving food but that they could rustle up a few croque monsieurs. They were duly ordered and what a revelation, creamy, savoury, flavoursome and hearty, all at a reasonable price. They...even had the Paris Roubaix race on in the background, how French do you want it to get??!! Loved this place and would return in a heartbeat.
You get so spoiled in Flaine, because everyone speaks great English, and are all extremely friendly. The owners were very friendly, but for once we had to practise our French! We had a lovely steak, and the kids had the boîte, which is a box of melted cheese. Really nice food. Would happily go again.
We always come here when skiing in Flaine. The staff are friendly and the food is great and hot plus reasonably priced. Croque monsieur and omelette was our usual choice and we were not disappointed again on our last visit. Thank you to the great...staff and owners of the Grain Of Salt establishment
We stopped in this cosy little restaurant for late lunch after reading the good reviews and it did not disappoint! We both enjoyed the Savoyeur burger which was delicious. We stayed in this cozy little restaurant for late lunch after reading the good reviews and it was not disappointed! We both enjoyed the Savoyeur Burger, who was delicious. Quick service and very friendly with many beautiful items to choose on the menu, definately recommend, thank you!
Stopped for lunch between skiing. Location makes it very easy and menu has lots of variety including local options. Both tartiflette and croque monsieur were very good. Service friendly. Mountain prices but same as everywhere else. Good experience and can't fault.
