A family dining should be cozy and joyful at the harbor of Cassis. We spent 30 min waiting to order, and we should have taken the right decision and leave at that point. However we stayed, got our burgers and steak in acceptable time, but the drinks were never served. Half through the meals we mention twice that we never got the drinks, and then 10 min later they serve drinks for only 2 of 5 persons. We mentioned that now we do not want our drinks, too late and we want to pay. The bill is all ordered drinks plus what they believed was added drinks, even though there is only two used glasses on the table. Now they are suspecting us to cheat...and even very persistent, instead of admitting the...
We stopped here for lunch. Tables in the shade just off the main drag but with a view of the comings and goings of the port. Mostly tourists, but less touristy than the awning ed places lining the port which we had found either less than excellent or heaping the price on for less than special food. We had sea bass x 2, a 50cl bottle of local rose and a half bottle of San Pellegrino, total cost a bargain 60 euros. The service was quick and good. The fish was delicious generous portion, simply fried in butter but not drenched (could almost have been grilled). Worth a lunchtime stop in preference to others round the port.
Seeing me struggle with my walker as we were passing a lady from the restaurant came across to me to inform me of an easier route! Very thoughtful of her and it decided me that when we had finished a swim it would be the place to chose for lunch. A good choice it turned out to be too !! I had a delicious Caesar salad and my husband had pasta and Bolognaise sauce. A waiter also directed us to an easier route back to the tourist train than the one we had walked down! Very thoughtful staff considerate for the disabled.
For the first time in cassis, rather a picturesque little port and we went to Marco Polo. I was there with my crew for only 1 night and we found this little night restaurant. Service good... the Salmon as appetizer, really good... and then the sea bass.. Delicious. We took th menu of 25 Euro and it was worth it, with a nice glass of local white wine..mmmm...overall a very nice restaurant with good and swift service, very friendly and a splendid view on the harbour ... To keep in mind when I need to come back

The food overall was ok but the service is what brought down the rating. When we sat down we were able to get our first course fairly quickly. But had asked for water and after 3rd time of asking and 30+ min we finally got our water. We had ordered our dinner but after waiting over an hour we finally asked about it and they had clearly forgot. Not very friendly response to the late food. They took off a appetizer but chose the cheapest one. Would not recommend based on customer service.
If only I could fry fish like this back home. Fresh fish simply fried in butter with a small portion of rice and another of ratatouille on the side. The very generous portion of fish was delicious. We spent a pleasant hour over a lunchtime washing lunch down with a local Cassis rose. It's very reasonably priced in comparison to the sometimes less than superb competition lining the port.
Delicious lunch, very accommodating hostess (it was pouring rain on May 26, the Fête du Vin Cassis 2019) and she did her best to keep every patron dry and happy for lunch. Judging by the other patrons, lots of locals and few tourists which is always a good sign of fine dining.

We went yesterday to another restaurant in Cassis. The menu there was 26 euros. Here the menu costs 28 euros, but the food was much better! It was a very good looking dish. And the waiters were friendlier.
Nice food and really good service nice place in front of the harbour.... Relaxing time for lunch......
