Since we arrived for an early dinner, we were able to take advantage of the Prix Fixe Early Dinner menu (available until 6:30 PM), which featured a starter, entree, and dessert for just $29.95! Almost everything on the menu sounded tempting. Some of us opted for the Prix Fixe option, while others chose from the regular menu. Here’s a brief overview of what we ordered: **Escargots** - Part of the regular starter menu, these were delightful. They were bathed in garlic herb butter, and every bite was bursting with flavor. If you're a fan of escargot, you should definitely try this! **French Onion Soup** - ($2) This was the must-have starter from the Prix Fixe. It was hot, cheesy, and utterly...

I've gone to le midi many times over the years but have never written a review. It's a nice place to go for happy hour especially with a group. You can drink and enjoy the fries or a burger before heading downstairs. The karaoke cave is in the basement and you can basically take it over if you go in a group! We went for brunch and... We ordered the French onion soup to start. The soup tastes good but doesn't need the parsley. Perhaps they were looking to add flavor but it was the wrong flavor note to enhance as parsley has an overwhelmingly strong taste. It's not a parsley soup it's an onion soup with cheese. Otherwise it is a good soup with lots of cheese and bread. French toast was good. N...

My husband and I decided to meet up with our friend here for dinner after work on a Friday. I was the first one arrived. The host seated me right the way, which was not very common in NYC. Normally, you have to wait for everyone then the whole party would be seated. And then the waitress stopped by asked me if I wanted anything. I got water. She showed me the Happy Hour menu. I told her that I didn't drink. She said there were $1 oysters, which I end up getting a dozen of them. They were not bad. Since it was before 6:30, we were able to order from Prix fixe early dinner menu, which a three course meal for $26. I got soup du jour (creamy cauliflower soup), sea bass, and creme caramel. My hus...

Love this place! I stumbled in here on a Saturday when I was looking for weekend happy hours in the area and I couldn't be happier that I did! We sat at the bar and enjoyed the $6 wine specials and the $1 oysters while catching a few scenes of the old movie playing on the projector. My boyfriend and I really loved this place and the overall vibe and wanted to come back. Fast forward a month and we moved two blocks away and returned the day we moved to unwind. This time we added food to the happy hour wine and oysters. We ordered the Kobe beef sliders to start and then for entrees I had the Le Midi salad (added chicken) and my boyfriend ordered the Diver scallops shrimp risotto. Everything wa... Brunch spot! Great if you're looking for somewhere a little more quiet with good food and a bar. Happy, friendly service (which is saying a lot for NYC). Food comes out quick. Spacious. I got there around 12:30pm, it was relatively empty but started to gradually fill up an hour or so later. I made a reservation in advance, but this doesn't seem like a place that would have much of a wait, which is great. Started off with the french onion soup quite good. Full bodied flavor. Cheese was warm and gooey. The bread was sufficiently large and thick and really soaks up the soup. French toast. Presentation isn't spectacular. Looked mediocre, and dashed my hopes a little when I saw it. But I was happ...

We've returned for a second dining experience after a day about in the city. While waiting for my wife to join I was already seated and enjoying my first glass of wine. No rush, no pressure on awaiting her arrival. Placed our first course to align with my wife's arrival as it was our first super cold day. Perfect timing and the french onion soup hit the spot along with the California Sav/Cab blend. Next, we shared the mushroom tart, flavorful and tasty mushroom, goat cheese, and a flaky crust. A must try dish. We then shared the rack of lamb, med/rare; a very good dish, the lamb was cooked to our taste. The only slight criticism was that the Brussel sprouts were not cooked longer. Guessing o...

This restaurant is a great choice for a group lunch or dinner, as the spacious setting wasn't too crowded during my visit. They offer a solid selection of French cuisine. The pastry basket starter featured a nice variety of treats and flavors. For my main course, I ordered the croque Madame, which was tasty but quite heavy due to the generous amounts of cheese, ham, and buttered bread. The full breakfast option provided a good assortment of their brunch offerings. While it might not be the best or most authentic French food I've ever enjoyed, I had a pleasant brunch experience here.

Came here on a Friday evening at 8:30pm. We ordered: French onion soup Duck confit salad Duck breast Pomme Frites Wine I checked in on Yelp and managed to get a mimosa for $5! It was great. The food tastes really good and the ingredients are fresh. We collectively agreed that this restaurant is worth coming back to. The vibe is sort of fancy, you would feel off coming here in the evening in shorts and a t shirt. It would definitely be a nice date spot. Reserva una mesa ahora

A great place to stop in for mimosas on a hot Saturday. Nice ambiance, neither fancy nor basic. The $5 mimosas were made with fresh-squeezed OJ and a welcome relief from NYC heat. After two of them, we decided to have brunch. The food was all very good (Frisée aux Lardons, Omelette, Salade Niçoise) the service was great. Overall, a great find for a small-ish quality French place not far from Washington Square Park.
