A nice address located in a small street at the entrance of the old town. In the beautiful season a handful of table outside. A beautiful map with a nice choice of entries oscillating between the local and the flavors of elsewhere (hallumi, eggplant caviar, zhatar). A little more classic, simple, good and nicely presented. Special mention for black pork medallions. The fries are good! Not tested desserts, that was enough! A map of the wines that come out of the beaten paths, wine with glass which is always appreciable. Friendly service, although a little overflowed on Sunday noon (think to book). Flat rate between 13 and 15€, quite reasonable. Inside one grocery side with good nice products:...
We discovered this very nice little restaurant during a family meal. The welcome was very warm in a very charming room with its small patio and terrace in a mediévale street of St Macaire. The perfect service with good knowledge and very good advice on wines. As for dishes with local products and excellent quality could only keep our taste buds awake. The gambas with black pork bacon and the small sauce in accompaniment......................... and nothing just enjoy!!! The dishes of a very good quality price. Very nice discovery, we will return. Don't change anything and thank you for this very good time.
Restaurant as charming as this beautiful medieval city... the setting, the kitchen, the sympathy of the staff... The small table for 2 under the arcades is so pleasant, the dishes are very balanced, the plate of black pig gascon is an explosion of colors and flavors with various organic vegetables and homemade fries, black garlic, peanuts... high quality local products that make honor to our southwest... big thank you for this beautiful stage.
We ate there, my husband and I, on a Saturday night. The kitchen is exquisite and comes out of the ordinary, with fresh and local products, I especially recommend gambas with smoked black pork bacon, and local beer, brewed in Ste Croix du Mont. The service is fast, the waitress for a nice one, the indoor room is pretty but you can also eat in the alley in summer closed to the traffic for the restaurant.

A very good time, in a charming place, and with a smiling service! A very good value for money, and a beautiful medieval town well preserved to visit after dinner! It is seen in the profusion of commercial houses all the wealth from the wine trade and privileges granted by the good King Louis XI to one of his good cities.
