This place has the potential to be better than it is, but the staff need to put in more work. I was there on a Saturday with my family around noon. Upon entry, the 3 of us waited a long time to be seated when it was surprisingly not crowded yet. When the waitress finally addressed us, she yelled across the restaurant the entire time to seat us. We stayed to eat, but the regulars who came in after us immediately left after being seated because the table area wasn't clean. Keeping the tables clean seemed to be a big issue. Don’t reserve a table, not only because you’ll regret going here but also because you do not need one. We went on a Saturday morning around brunch, and thought it was closed because chairs were stacked on the tables. It was open. When we walked in someone walked in after us and told us how incredible the food was and how he planned to take a friend who was coming into town there and wanted to make a reservation, in person, he didn’t stay to eat.The food was unremarkable, family style, pretty expensive for what you get, esp the ambiance and service not being great. Ok… this is a long review.. Short version: great food, great people, great atmosphere, and sometimes a longer wait, but always worth it. Long version: so I have been coming here since 2017, and we are always so excited to come and enjoy the food and atmosphere.. my wife and I will always come here when we are in Detroit. It’s fun to see how they have done little things to the place over the years. The service is always friendly, and the food is the best in Michigan. This is not fast food and therefore you will probably wait, but if you have the time, you will not regret eating here.
Bad experience with a smile.Too slow, chicken wings were too tiny ...shame on you. Little girl served apple juice out of the Mott's by two at Sam's club.I thought corn pancakes were good but two were crispy and other twoToo mushy..we waited 1 and a half hour to eat. They literally begin cleaning around our feet getting ready for another event....people coming in talking over our heads..Yeah it was not a good dining experience. Host lady was the gem of the place. Unfortunately, we will not he back.

I Had a awesome breakfast the chicken sausage was soo good and the waffles were perfect. This is a cozy spot with live jazz on Saturdays. . Presentation is everything and you definitely can see that the owner takes pride in every detail. I will be returning in the near future.
We came from North Carolina and weren’t expecting such delicious food from Detroit but Le Petit Dejeuner showed us different! The fried chicken was the best and the sweet potato pancakes were great! Monica, our server gave us great service! Highly recommend!
My first time visiting was in 2016, came back again today. The food is consistently delicious. The fried chicken and corn pancakes are delicious. Definitely recommend. Shrimp and grits were great as well.
Today food was on point service was A1 environment was great. I was a little nervous looking at the reviews but after my own experience I enjoyed it. We give it a 8.5 outta 10 stars
