I was in Valenciennes last week with my daughter and we had dinner at Le Président. First of all the restaurant and its terrace looked great but that wasn't all: we were welcomed by super friendly and professional waiters!! That made our evening so pleasant that we didn't want to leave! We haven't met the chef but he was the star of the night! Our dishes were just amazing! I had lamb with potatoes and my daughter had the pasta with salmon. Both absolutely delicious! The night was nice and we stayed on that lovely cosy terrace so we decided to drink a gin tonic... A special creation (fresh strawberries, cucumber and lemon) just for us from our favorite waiters: Justine and Renan. What a team!...
Very nice decor, and a good meal but the service was missing in action. The servers mostly served drinks to people at the bar on their arrival and then seemed to forget that customers were there. Took a while to order….. when the food came to the table, that was the last we saw of the servers. Not only our table, but the whole section… who were mostly there for drinks and if they wanted anything more, they had to go to the bar to order. Couldn’t catch anyone’s eye or flag down a server, because they simply didn’t circulate or enter our section. We would have ordered desert and coffee, but no one ever came to clear our plates ! Great reception, efficient service and always in good mood. The dishes are very good and copied. Just a little reproach on the dishes that are not always known to the servers, but they will immediately find themselves and correct themselves. MERCI for this beautiful evening
We really loved this brewery, the dishes are really good, there's a choice for the aperitif and the waiter was really nice.
