Heard from a local bartender while visiting Quebec City that this place was a must go and we couldn't agree more. The bartender was super cool and friendly, made us feel really welcome and even offered us an in house shot that he took with us. He gave us information on where to go in Quebec City and was generally very interested and loved his job. The drink specials were super affordable and great beers. The bar itself is pretty cool, kind of a hidden gem. Old on the inside and the back patio is super cute and enclosed with some greenery and lights, very warm and inviting. The only knock on this place is the food menu as it's only snacks but even though we were hungry we didn't want to leave...

le projet es un bar muy agradable y restaurante en la famosa rue St-Jean, joto junto a la iglesia que da nombre a la calle. un viejo y muy hermoso casero, el bar tiene un ambiente fresco y sirve cervezas producidas en microcervecerías en la provincia de Quebec. El techo, incluso con detalles antiguos del establecimiento que existía allí antes, contrasta con el menú que está escrito con la tiza sobre tablas pintadas en las paredes. la selección de cerveza a menudo cambia, y también hay varias opciones de vinos y sidras. los platos están bien servidos y muy sabrosos. ¡Recomiendo la poutina con carne!

We had an amazing time at this restaurant tonight. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. They frequently checked on us to see if we were ready to order and if everything was going well. I brought my 4 year old daughter and they went out of their way to make sure we had a great visit and even entertained her. Thank you to Dave and all the staff for a wonderful evening filled with laughter. I especially enjoyed the red beer from Ile d'orleans, #7!

This looks like a typical (perfectly nice) bar from the street, but it's hiding a charming little walled courtyard in the back the perfect casual, comfortable, lively space to get an after work drink. Our waiter was sweet, and recommended an incredible sour beer (Collective Arts Guava Gose) that I'm still thinking about fondly. No food served beyond chips and nuts, but you can order takeout or bring your own snacks in.

A great place to stop for a drink they don't serve food (although you can bring in your own), but the beer selection is impressive! Service was fast and friendly, and the bar is cozy and has great ambiance. We went back the next day for another beer!

Not only does the selection of beers make us more and more thirsty, but the service (Isabelle!!) is outstanding. I would give 6 stars if it were possible.

Fun classic dive bar with a cute outdoor patio. Loved the selection of Canadian beer. Would love to return to taste the other drafts!!

Nice intimate bar just enough off the tourist trail to feel genuinely Quebec. Excellent range of beers and friendly staff.
