I don't have much to add to the other glowing reviews of this little spot of paradise by the river. Lovely food, lovely service by charming young staff with real enthusiasm for their work, and a pretty setting at the entrance to the gorges. A real emphasis on fruit and veg, from the potager. It makes a difference in France, where the order of priority is usually meat, sauce, veg on side, to see dishes where fresh vegetables are at the centre.A couple of little details to help fellow travellers:- Good English spoken, so much so that we ended up giving into it despite wanting to practise our French - The menu du jour at 32 Euros gave us around 1.45 hours of meal - not too quick, but not one of...
So, after we sat down underneath a beautiful fig tree close by the river, we choose for a closed eye (les yeux fermes) menu. The lovely staff asks us what we really don't like and if there are any allergies. This is a challenge for the chef: one person who likes fish, the other meat and I am a vegetarian. In one word: AMAZING! We all enjoy the different courses, one by one explained in detail what they just served us, surprised by the quality of the local vegetables prepared with love. Le maître d' knows what he's doing!
We chanced upon this restaurant on a trip up the gorge by motorcycle. We were hungry, it was around 1300 and it was the first restaurant we chanced upon. What a wonderful surprise - excellent ~(and I mean excellent) food, service and location. The chef came out and explained the full menu to us (around 20 minutes), how he cooked it , where he got the ingredients and how he looked after them.Not what we had expected when we stopped as the appearance belies the fact that this place is good - very good!
We were just looking for a place to get our son's food to be warmed, and incidentally stopped at this restaurant, which was an unexpected extra charm to an absolutely wonderful gorge De-Ardeche. When we asked for a menu, and a waitress said: " a chief will come and tell you", I already felt something unusual. And the chef did come, with a handwritten menu of what he could offer us. I'll stop here - go there and you'll hopefully have as much joy as we did.

Since the difficulties of Covid this is no longer a Michelin star restaurant and reviews from 2020 and before are not relevant. We had a lovely evening in this superb location. The food is simple with vegetables from the garden and limited choice but superbly cooked with lovely flavours. Huge choice of wine and like the food very reasonably priced. Pleasant enthusiastic staff.
Lovely restaurant on the border of the ardeche river. Simple yet excellent service! The food is just amazing. We took the 'menu les yeux fermés' not knowing what the plates would be (we just let them know if we had allergies or food we didn't really like). It was quite the culinary experience. If you are in the region of Vallon Pont d'Arc, do not miss!!
Fantastic place incredible, home grown food and local wines. We went for the 4 course fixed menu and you got to try lots of different dishes. The trout was delicious! Beautiful, tranquil setting and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant. One small tip bring mosquito spray as there are a few mosquitos hanging around.
Very friendly staff, top french cuisine with season's fresh ingredients, excellent price/quality , a must visit for everyone not liking all the pizza / fast food places there seem to be around. Just go there : you won't regret it !

What a great find lovely food and location just remember to wear bud spray we didn't and got lots of bites! All home grown food very accommodating for vegetarian in the group!
Calm tranquil terrace near the river. Wonderful 8 course tasting menu with the most delicious wine. A great way to spend an evening...just fabulous.
