Not your tipical swimming pool restaurant, it opens before the the pool opens for the season and closes again in December. The food is very good as well as the service, to be fair when you have the hot sunny day you might have to wait a bit longer but then again it's summer relax and enjoy the day and go and have a quick swim...They have a very nice selection of local wines! And yes the Swiss do make wine and the region around Orbe (Nord Vaudois )has some very good wines the quality has really improved in the last few years.Back to the restaurant.. We went to eat after a day at the pool. The card full of promise. Although the waitress is welcoming, she already seems at the end of her life not knowing where she can place us, however, the installation is done rather quickly. Order placed after 10 minutes. The service is long.... An error in the order. They bring us the wrong burger. The dishes are rather well served. Super cadre! Même idyllique l'été!! Merci à la commune d'Orbe!! Dommage service nulle attente interminable même pour commander juste des bossons et encore quand c'est pas fermé.... Même les week-ends de magnifique temps..... Pour commander j'en parle même pas..... Premier établissement saisonnier où il faut réserver alors qu'il y a max 10 personnes..... J'aime pas mettre des avis négatifs mais là...... DÉCEVANT!!! Et c'est pas la première fois malheureusement..... Nous avons demandé 3 coupes de glaces. La serveuse nous a répondu que c'était pas possible qu'il y avait trop de monde alors nous sommes parti déçu avec notre petite fille en pleur ..... il y avait 3 clients dans la salle et 6 sur la terrasse. Une dizaine de clients faisaient la queue pour avoir quelque chose à l'emporter.... 1 serveuse et un cuisto alors qu'il faisait 40° et que la piscine était pleine à craquer! Sur la terrasse les parasols étaient fermés avec un soleil de plomb...... minable pour une piscine municipale! I love this place ! You can sit outside and because it's by the pool, you feel like on holiday. It's the best terrace in Orbe as it's quiet and sunny till late. The tartare is very tasty and nicely prepared but so is the burger, the shrimps and the pasta dishes. They have a good selection of desserts and cocktails. The service is very good and friendly. Watch out if you go at lunch time. They have a daily menu, very good also, but the place gets extremely busy so not good if you're short for time. Note that they are staying opened till mid December.
Je trouve difficile de donner une note. La cuisine est très bonne par contre, le service est très très long (30min avant d'être servis). On ne peut pas jeter la pierre à la serveuse mais être seule à gérer les demandes des clients de la piscine et la terrasse, impossible. Dommage, il y a un vrai potentiel et la cuisine est bonne. Curious all these negative comments, to believe that people let go when they need to criticize. Family evening meal on Saturday July 1st. Cool evening with few people at the restaurant, warm welcome and staff available. 4 different meals served hot in 25 minutes. Including shrimp salad with ripe avocado.
One of the few places in the area where you can sit outside and enjoy the evening sunshine. There's a large car park free of charge. The beef tartare is tasty and well presented. Nice cocktails too.The staff is friendly and helpful. A nice place for a summer's evening Reserva una mesa ahora
