Le Rest'o Chez Fred

We cycled here from Moriani-Plage and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. This shaded spot affords an ideal setting to relax and absorb glorious views of the sea. The patron was very welcoming and guided us through the menu, patient with our pigeon French. It's a relaxed family style restaurant. I enjoyed the salad du chef flowed by homemade chocolate mousse. I particularly loved the combination of excellent home cooked food, great service and idyllic setting. They also offer a selection of cocktails(alcohol and virgin), which was an unexpected bonus. We will be making a second visit before we leave.

Sure the menu is a little limited but sit back, soak up the atmosphere and wriggle your toes in the sand. Beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff and grabbing a couple of Corsican liqueurs during a chat with the owner was a hoot (think comedy French/English and lots of hand gestures). By the way those pizzas are gorgeous, especially the Corsican special with ham, cheese and figs. Great place for family dining and a walk home along the beach by the light of the moon.

We only stopped for a drink but what a great spot, right on the beach overlooking the sea. Not sure if the place was actually open but the owners were happy to serve us anyway.
