"This is a relatíve 2. The hotel and the staff is perfect. BUT: in the gourmet restaurant which has one Michelin star ??? the food quality is very poor and the kitchen is swimming: in 85 minutes we gat only one course. Big space for improvement, especially in managing customers. The sommelier is a very nice guy, their wine and champagne selection is perfect"

We were staying at this beautiful hotel and as a treat booked the chef’s table at the Royal restaurant. We were taken through to the kitchens as expected and to the chefs table room opposite the pass, we were very excited. Our server was lovely, just learning the trade. Service began and the food was superb. The gnocchi was so light, the prawn dish out of this world! But the chefs table experience was really disappointing, the pass that half the table were looking over was in fact for the Bellevue restaurant and we watched burger and chips and fish and chips being prepared and sent out. The other half of the table could see some of our meal prep but the food prep for the fine dining restaurant was across a pass we could not see at all and another only half the table could see. From previous reviews we read before the Chefs Table it looks like the pass of the Royal has been swapped with the Bellevue. Had we realised this we would have booked the comfort of the main restaurant. When we mentioned we could not see the pass to the manager he simply said that there was no other table. Great food, reasonable service but book to sit in the main restaurant.

We enjoyed a dinner at this restaurant while staying at the hotel. It was a very nice, relaxing evening with very good food and wine selection. The service was very professional and as typically stiff, although with sometimes forgetting to explain the dishes being served along the multi-course menu. Also questionable was the serving of a rice dish obviously cocked with a meat broth as a vegetarian dish. Which was when the language barrier was leveraged as an excuse. Anyhow, the remarkable evening in a maybe a little overrated establishment. Also when considering the after-dinner feeling of being stuffed with food instead of having had a large, but light dinner being served.

Dining at this restaurant isn't just about eating, it's about an experience! From the staff, the service, the presentation, the food.... This is a meal you'll never forget! The staff are just amazing absolutely spot on! We felt like royalty! We had several courses of the most delicious food we've ever had, and yet didn't feel stuffed because it was served over a long period of time and timed perfectly. Each course was like a little present/surprise to enjoy and discover.

We stayed at the hotel and dined in The Royal restaurant on Saturday night. We ordered the “découverte” menu and a bottle of white saint aubin wine. It was a wonderful evening with delicious food, attentive and knowledgeable staff. My husband and I agreed it was one of the best meals we have had. A very memorable experience that our taste buds will forever compare
