We had always headed toward old town to find places to eat, so tonight decided to walk in a different direction . It didn 't take us long to find this place. The service is very speedy when compared with many French restaurants. We sat down around 8:30 on a Friday night, and there were tables to choose from. We stayed next door at Hotel des Alpes and as it was raining hard when we set foot outside, we dived in here and were very glad we did. This bar/restaurant is wonderfully decorated in deep reds with renaissance charm (aka Dennis The Menace colour scheme! . The service was excellent and overall the atmosphere is relaxed and very friendly. We had drinks in the bar first and then ate upstairs. We had a set menu at approx 26 euros and it was very good. I had tagliatelle which was more pasta and less sauce than I prefer but generally the whole meal was excellent. We stayed in a hotel near to here, and we emphatically did not want to join thousands of tourists crammed into restaurants in the old town. So we were just wandering around and came upon this authentic local restaurant which wasn't pushing raclette or fondue or pizza. Just really nice French brasserie food, freshly prepared, nicely served, and attractively priced. When we dined here the other customers all seemed to know each other (lots of kissing and laughter). On a longer trip (we only had three days) we would have returned here for a lunch.
Always perfect! The atmosphere is very warm, you feel at home. And frankly difficult to make better value for money. Never disappointed with the cuisine frankly very good. Good dishes that change regularly... BRAVO and thank you

This day, warm welcome, we feel comfortable. Standing A feast, set up, presentation of dishes, flavors, quality products... the fair compromise between village bar and gastro brewery. Step not to be missed in the region!
I strongly advise. There's no need to do miles and look elsewhere. Stop it. The welcome is top. Friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Copious meal. And very good price.
