We went to this alpine restaurant twice during our 4 day ski trip. Both days we're sunny and warm and we were able to sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy the beautiful views. For bad weather there's a huge indoor restaurant in a lovely alpine style. It's a little bit expensive but it's fashionable Megeve, after all, and it's so much better to have waiter service than sliding around in ski boots holding a tray of chips and beer. The salads and the cheeseboard are very special and they have upmarket hamburgers and chips including a substantial soy burger for the veggies. The cafe is located on the piste at the top of Rocharbois telecabin, so easy to meet up with non-skiing family/friends.
This used to be one of our family and friends favorites for cold “inside” days, in the Caboche ski lift facility, easy to get to, good menu and reasonably priced. But not anymore. The management of the restaurant has changed, and is has become mediocre food served with mediocrity. The soup is a raw potato soup with a couple of bacon pieces floating. The salads are small and with almost no dressing and the chicken tastes like it is coming out of a package. Dommage....
This was our “go to” place for lunch as it is conveniently located near the Chamois lift arrival. Menu is quite limited and the children’s one could be a bit more varied. The portions for children are a bit small. They would do themselves a favour if they offered galettes and crepes as they could a offer a variety of fillings and makes for a quick lunch if you are a bit pressed for time. We found the staff very friendly and always helpful.
Ate here with my young family having spent the morning sat with the baby watching the older children in their lesson. Staff were really helpful and accommodating. Despite having not booked a table for lunch they were able to find a table for 5 at short notice. Food was surprisingly good compared to other places we’d tried whilst on the slopes. Good portion sizes and reasonably prized. We enjoyed carbonara, tartiflette and roasted chicken.

Nous avons passé une semaine complète pour les déjeuners, et ce fut un agréable moment à chaque fois pour le grand groupe que noue étions. Le cadre est superbe avec beaucoup de bois. La cuisine est aussi inventive et bonne que rapide. L'équipe en salle est aux petits soins et très avenante. Je recommande la fondue à deux ! Il y a aussi une belle terrasse pour déjeuner en extérieur.
beautiful view on the slopes. beautiful terrace and lots of interior seats too. The dishes are good, the fondue too. However, prices are high and service lacks heat. Moreover, the perished sodas were served but replaced at our request with a very small excuse. not really at the height given the proposed prices.
Lovely cafe to finish a days skiing. We had hot chocolate and rum, unfortunately they'd stopped serving food (it was late on a Sunday) as we'd eaten here before and really enjoyed it. Service was quick and friendly, and the terrace is great for watching the nursery slopes.
Service au top !! Mention spéciale pour Edwige(aka bonnet jaune) l’accueil est à la hauteur de la qualité des plats. Le Repère porte bien son nom et on y reviendra avec grand plaisir !

we only went for happy hour but I have to say the nachos looked amazing, and the happy hour wins were drinkable
by admiring the panorama in front of us, we were with friends and we had made the world again
