The food was good, however the service was odd. When we asked for another carafe d'eau, the waitress said that she didn't have anymore, which is bizarre as it is tap water, and that she had Evian. We got the Evian, which was a small bottle and cost €3.50, for two of us! The waitress then gave the locals in the restaurant second jugs of tap water. This is very odd, but I wonder if she wanted to make more money. The place isn't cheap and doesn't take credit card.

Food is good and freshly prepared. The menu is quite imaginative - the Marmite Thai is especially good. Like many restaurants in France, portions are just enough. The surroundings are either intimate or cramped, depending on whether you are a glass half full sort of person.Fine dining it is not, but it is a pleasant and thoroughly enjoyable place for a quick lunch that is not just the usual magret or pave.

This was a disappointing evening. We came away hungry and it was not good value. 4 prawns main course for 12.50 euros. A very small bowl of rice for 2.50 euros. The tables were very close together and small. The restaurateur put all nine diners in the same area so that we had no possibility of quiet intimate dining. No bank card facility. We will not go back or recommend this restaurant.

We booked a table for a family group of 9 - all ages - and the staff were very accommodating. Food good and not too spicy. Price reasonable. Only a small restaurant but very welcoming.

Small family run restaurant in Melle. Very good food, warm welcome and attentive service. Big menu but that's usual with eastern restaurants. Food is excellent.
