visit the surgery to look around us, we found this wonderful little restaurant quite randomly and decided to sit outside in autumn sunshine to have our lunch. we received a very warm greeting from the owner and the dishes from the kitchen were simply...wonderfully decisive on the plate du jour chose my partner a steak that he said was absolutely wonderful and I chose an salat with melone, tomaten and a tomatensorpette that was absolutely delicious. the restaurant was very busy for a lunchtime with some tourist, but many local businessmen arriving at lunchtime. when we return to surgeres, we will visit this restaurant again without doubt. highly recommended.
We paid an impromptu visit to this restaurant on our journey home one evening, having checked it out on TripAdvisor! We were starving! Having received a warm welcome from our waiter, we enjoyed aperitifs while our order was freshly prepared. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed...and cosy. Our food didn’t disappoint it was all well-presented, prepared with fresh local produce and utterly delicious! We would have no hesitation in recommending Le Vieux Puits.
My father and I had lunch there sitting on the funny little terrace. the place is quaint but well known to the locals as was full. We had the menu of the day which was veal and mushrooms in cream sauce and potato gratin, followed...by a fresh fruit crumble of peaches , apricots and bananas, all delicious, fresh products and tasted like ideal home cooking. Very nice staff and service. We arrived late so we had to wait a bit.
first visit for many years and was impressed. we had the cursed around everyone. eat very good and interesting decisions, even a somewhat limited selection. personal friendly and beautiful my only negative it was a bit rushed:...aperitif, starter, especially down in minutes!
