My friend and I found this hidden gem only a few months ago and have been back many times for a lovely lunch, great coffee and relaxing atmosphere. Behind the freeway and amongst suburban houses sits this wonderful retro coffee shop. Food is always fresh, beautifully cooked and wholesome with a lean to healthy foods, except for their delicious selection of cakes and slices (passion fruit slice is amazing) they have a really good eggs benny and the grilled chicken always tasty and moist. As a professional social networker I have the opportunity to have my business meeting in cafes and restaurants so am truely grateful when someone suggests that we meet somewhere I haven't visited before .This was one of these occasions.When driving past you might assume that this is just a little cafe with nice non matched furniture and a road out look but once inside the garden you soon see it's a hidden gem . My regular coffee shop and favourite spot for lunches. The chips are to die for! The staff are very friendly; Joel always greets us with a smile and friendly conversation. I love eating out the back in the garden. Lots of comfortable seating amongst the plants and many water features. The Merlo coffee is always good and they have a variety of freshly made cakes, slices and biscuits (some gluten free and vegan). A must for any Gold Coast local or visitor to try!
Sorry guys, but I can't say I really enjoyed the food.. Didn't think the corn fritter combined with mango and unseasoned mushroom with Parmesan was a great mix.. Fritters were very doughy.. My favouritedish, so I was rather dissapointed. Also ask for well cooked eggs and didn't receive them that way.Mince was unseasoned and not really flavoured.And if you continue to serve tea, please know how to make it well.

We visited for a Sunday breakfast and enjoyed very aspect of our visit. We enjoyed the savory mince and the corn fritters, so delicious! The service was friendly, the juices were delicious and the setting was stunning. The secret side access opens itself to a garden wonderful to relax and dream yourself away somewhere exotic. Staff and environment kid friendly. Looking forward to our next visit soon
Food is good but make sure you eat before going to this place. It is extremely busy and food service is slow. They should advise people during ordering regarding estimated time for food. Drinks are quick to come out. Coffee is average. Nothing special about this place.
Visited after hearing good reviews and having 'the best coffee on the Gold Coast' - we were not disappointed. Very friendly staff Great food and of course great coffee. They have a lovely outside area as well as a quirky interior. We shall return!
Have been to this place twice and both times was good service and extremely fast. There is a beautiful area out the back to sit with plants and a water fountain. Wonderful place to eat. Thankyou!

Had to wait for over an hour to get food and when it finally came out the order was wrong. Will be crossing this one off the list of breaky spots
Home of one of the best coffee's on the coast, complemented with a great vibe ad fabulous food. Love this place.
