Legal Sea Foods Chestnut Hill

This was a disappointing day, and that's not typical at Legal. Based on this visit, I would encourage people to never sit close to the kitchen. Hearing the kitchen staff talk loudly, sing, yell, etc. is not what a patron should expect. As far as the food-I decided to try the whole belly fried clams-very disappointing. Very small, and I think I counted 5 bellies. Why? Who knows. My wife got the clam strip plate-very sandy. Again, not the best day at Legal and over $75 for 2 very disappointing meals!!!

Seated at a 2 top table that was in the middle of an aisle- we were bumped 10 times by servers. Chowder came after the entree. Lobster roll was dry and overpriced. For 43 , they should be awesome. They were not. As if the forgot to drizzle butter on them, maybe? Been coming here since they opened. Chowder is still great. Everything else has gone down hill. Not a great value. I live 5 minutes away, dine out often, and rarely come here. Not worth the .

As always the food was above reproach. However, there was not close to enough air conditioning in the dining room. The bar was completely unair conditioned. Once we were seated, we waited for over 15 minutes before we asked a passing waitress if anyone was going to serve us. A debate among the staff occurred before someone finally asked to take our order.

The air conditioning wasn't working properly again. Frequently when we visit Legal seafood in Chestnut Hill the air conditioning isn't working properly my family visits Legal seafood in Chestnut Hills on a weekly basis at least once a week. Right now, about all I eat is the house salad. I think it's the best thing on the menu Reserva una mesa ahora

Food was excellent as was service at the bar. At 9:00 p.m. in the bar areas were two babies who screamed non stop for 35 minutes . Very unnerving and headache producing.. consideration should be given to restricting the bar area sfter 9 pm should be to adult customers. Took away from what would have been a nice evening.

We go often to this Legal Seafoods and are never disappointed. We usually sit at the bar but this time we sat at a table on the bar side because there were four of us. Delicious food, nice ambiance and our server, Mat, was excellent! We celebrated a birthday, and Mat was kind, efficient and professional.

Can't ruin a steamed lobster but the lobster roll, while generous, was completely unseasoned I finally figured out they forgot the butter and lemon. The steamers were lackluster as well and the service slow and indifferent. Definitely not the Legals we remember.

Very impressed with the server. Happy to see the many gluten-free options. And very happy to see how they handled a shrimp allergy. They made our guests feel very comfortable! And the oysters are beyond delicious. Thank you. Reserva una mesa ahora

We were seated over near the server station , which was loud and filled with WAY too much personal information from the servers. Our server was excellent, but having to listen to all the others was an ambiance killer.

Kathleen and Matt, in the bar area, are consistently the best at what they do- make great drinks, provide great service, and keep things moving and under control even when it's crazy busy!!
