Another day wandering around Garden City and I began to feel peckish. In need for a feed, I headed into 8 Street to see whats on offer. Compared to my previous visit, I realised a few new eateries opened, it was good to see more variety around (will try when I get the chance).  I stopped by Lemak, a newly opened Malaysian store serving up traditional dishes including, Char Kway Teow, Laksa, Roti and more. The little blackboard positioned infront of their counter got my attention and after a quick glance, I knew what I wanted.  I was soon greeted by a friendly staff and my order was placed. In return, they gave me a buzzer and informed me that my Chicken Laksa will take around 10-...

I had char kuey teow and nasi lemak when they were newly opened some months back. The portions were quite little for the price. The food then looks and smells good but the flavour was a bit lacking. Roti was good however. A few months later now, I see their portion size have improved which is great. Had nasi goreng with fried chicken this time. Unfortunately nasi goreng was lacking in flavour. The fried chicken was better. It's batter was like KFC's but not as tasty. It wasn't too bad though. My friend had nasi lemak with fried chicken and said that the sambal chilli was not quite up to scratch. Hopefully they will improve and get better.

it was over ten months from my last review here so had a quick lunch on the last Sunday. scratched for his signature special deal by mee goreng special so ordered one of them, but additionally for the deal of three spring rolls with a dose drink. were fair. noodle tasted good and the chicken drum was very crispy and juicy. Extra spring rolls were in order, but too small and lacked in fillings. after said, it was still a high cp lunch for overall only previous review: november Reserva una mesa ahora

Lemak consistently gets mentioned amongst the Malaysian community in Brisbane as a go to for dishes such as their char kway teow (CKT) and their fried chicken. I've been going there more recently myself and feel they've improved in taste and value/portion compared to when they first opened On this occasion we ordered the CKT and a curry chicken with rice lunch special; available everyday) for takeaway. Both dishes were flavourful and satisfying as we've come to expect

we visited lemak on Thursday evening around we ordered the nasi lemak chicken cure and the mee goreng special with friend huhn samosa and koks for an extra everything was on the meal and very reasonable portions for the price both porn were delicious and tasteful. the samosas were a little average or maybe we don't like samosas and there was only small service was promptly not rushing. we would return when looking for a fast Malaysian style meal.

It's really nice to see a Malaysian place here. I had the curry chicken with dry noodle. There is a lot of noodle and the dish is really flavourful. I just wish the price was a little lower for noodles and a chicken maryland but I guess the average price of food in 8 Street is a little high. The service is straight forward and nice. Would return to try the satay. instagram.com

An amazing little gem located in 8 Street! The curry is to die for, the char kway teow delicious with bouncy noodles. Roti had run out unfortunately but I'll be back to try it. Servings sizes are very generous too. Highly recommended! Reserva una mesa ahora
