Tasty authentic Vietnamese dishes made in a mom and pop restaurant in Oakland on the corner of East 12th Street and 11th Avenue. We got the Hu Tieu Mi Kho (Dried egg noodles), Pho Dac Biet (Beef Pho with various cuts of beef), and the Bo Kho (beef stew) that comes with a Vietnamese baguette to dip in the stew. These 3 dishes totaled about $45 after taxes. Two of the dishes (dried noodles and the pho) were full of flavor and you can smell and taste some of the traditional spices and herbs that come with them. Lemon Pepper is a hidden gem! You could easily drive past this restaurant without noticing it, but be sure to turn around! It's a family-owned establishment where the wife does the cooking and the husband, Long, takes the orders. You'll enjoy generous servings of delicious, authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Although you won't see the father, he creates an incredibly tasty hot sauce that might not be on the tables. Be sure to check out their menu—everything is always fresh and delicious! On particularly cold days, I often find myself ordering just their Phó broth because it's that comforting. The pho here is so delightful that it feels therapeutic. I stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting a nearby shop, and I absolutely loved it. The ingredients are fresh, the prices are quite reasonable, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The service was friendly, cheerful, and attentive. I will definitely be back very soon. I recently found this charming little Vietnamese restaurant, and I'm so glad I did! The hu tieu dry noodles are absolutely delicious. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming. It's unfortunate that the surroundings on the street are so unpleasant because this restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, and the pho was excellent, though I found it a bit too salty due to the MSG.
