Les Aromates - Reservar una mesa

We stumbled onto this restaurant when our other destination was closed — and we were so glad we did. The menu is written on a chalkboard, so it changes according to what is fresh. I enjoyed a wonderful roasted peach salad with fresh goat cheese and mache greens, then a well-cooked fish and chocolate mousse for dessert. Three courses for 16 euros. Such a great price compared to the prices in other, better-known Luberon Valley towns. The service was friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.

This is true Provence: Lunch on the terrace of a lovely restaurant at one of the village squares. The occasional traffic can once in a while be a nuisance. But you are highly rewarded by the excellent food for very reasonable prices. Les Aromates is a place were locals eat which is always a good indicator. They have a limited choice as usual for small restaurants, but every meal is excellent with several interesting fish dishes to choose from.

Just by sheer luck in the middle of a very hot August day in Provence, we found ourselves in Cadenet and saw a restaurant named Les Aromats in the center. The food was delicious, the wine excellent, and service extremely cordial. The restaurant frequented by locals mostly made us feel like we belong right there in Provence.

For 18e for 3 courses of perfectly executed food, on pleasant terrace in pretty square and charming, professional service, this has to be one of the top bargains in provence's hill villages . We were going somewhere posher which was closed and felt we drew the lucky straw at l'aromate

We did not come last year while Les Aromates had been one of our favorites in years past. Well at least we know why! Not as tasty and original as it used to be. Still friendly and decent food of course but just below expectation.
