L'escargot de Sab

We were searching for a restarurant in Joigny that would be open on Sunday and we found this little, yet absolutely amazing resto. We were welcomed by the owner as if we were friends of his, and after few minutes of waiting for service we were explained the concept of the resto and the menu du jour. We had a basse cote with potato gallets and carrots, and vegan pasta with lentils, and it was definitely the best seasoned dish I have eaten in a long time. It was clear that the meals are home-made prepared and not reheated, actually the patron loves to explain how they are made :) The decoration really adds to the ambience, we were seated at the table for the Beatles next to the Led Zeppelin table. So if you ever have a chance, then you should visit the place. I loved it there and I hope we´ll have an opportunity to come back soon.

After being on a barge trip for a week this was a pleasant surprise! We walked all over the town looking for a place to eat and we found there was nothing open on the hill. Once we came back to the river we found this fun place. The owner was very funny and friendly and his wife is a wonderful cook. The beef bourguignon was great. The restaurant has fun memorabilia of rock bands. The owners both spoke a little French .

I had the pleasure of having lunch with a friend. As soon as we arrive we were made welcome. There was a good selection on the menu and daily specials. The food was cooked spot on, tasty and hot. We had a very friendly and efficient service. I loved the record/cd collection which is everywhere. I'm going to go back when there is a live gig on, I bet the place rocks

We were recommended this place by a lady in the port office. Went with two very musical teenagers who thought the owner was awesome! He played great music and his wife served great, no frills food. Excellent value and entertainment!

This is not a French cuisine style place, the food is limited to beef goulash or burger. But those are served in good quality and reasonable prices. The place is a small Rock'n Roll bar full of pictures. The owner it's very funny!
