A great restaurant with friendly staff. Showed up without a reservation at 8pm on St. Patrick's day, a very busy time for downtown Charleston. The owner assured us he we find us a table quickly and it wouldn't take long. I assumed we would be waiting quite a while, but it took only 5 minutes. Then there's the menu, each item that is vegan it clearly labeled as such (it also does so with vegetarian and gluten free items, if that's your thing). I tried the Makdoos as an appetizer, it was pretty good and very flavourful. Leyla is a great place to go when you are in Charleston and want authentic Lebanese (as long as you are ready to spend a little more) because they had a special menu for the Lake Wee event, we could not get many things we wanted. They made us falafel and spicy potatoes, even if they were not on the menu for the night, because I told them I was vegan and was really excited to taste these dishes. I'm glad I was both amazing. (Falafel was the best I had) we also got hummus that was very good and shared the fat salad and vegan moussaka. My only complaint was the Pita was not warm, which is usually my fav part! There are some vegan options in this authentic Lebanese restaurant. The staff was very courteous and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. A reasonable pricing.

The Falafel packaging was delicious and very fresh. The hostess was very helpful to tell us about the vegan options. We want to go back to Charleston.
