We tried the brisket, which was amazing, and the hoecakes – they were perfectly crispy on the edges with just the right amount of sweetness. The deviled eggs were fantastic, and the fried green tomatoes were the best I've had in the area, thanks to the cornmeal batter! The warm peach cobbler was to die for, and the strawberry banana pudding was so good that we fought over it at the table. The shrimp were enormous and bursting with flavor. We even met the owner, Kevin, who was very kind. He and his family were working tirelessly to prepare the food. Visiting overnight near airport and googled Soul food near me , sine I was excited to try southern food, in the south . I chose this restaurant and OMG did they NOT disappoint . I ordered : Mac and cheese, cabbage, bbq TENDER brisket, fresh broccoli, honey chicken wings, and peach cobbler . Everything was VERY good, not too salty and the mango lemonade was spot on and NOT syrupy sweet either. Normally, I 'm a healthy eater and had an extremely stressful travel to ATL, so this was THE PERFECT COMFORT FOOD to make up for all the #uckery I encountered getting to GA. I’m really glad I opted for delivery because the reviews were pretty insightful. In my opinion, charging gratuity before the service is a bit excessive. However, I ordered the smothered pork chops with sides and the juicy chicken, and the food was absolutely delicious! I would definitely order delivery from here again! I arrived right when the restaurant opened, so the food was incredibly hot and fresh. I ordered the glazed salmon with "smack n cheese," and it definitely lives up to its name—amazing! The food was fantastic! My friend had the fried fish with greens and mashed potatoes, and that was delicious as well. I would definitely recommend this place!
