I am never let down when I have a date night at the lighthouse with my boyfriend or go out with a group of friends for a bit to eat. They even have live music next door on weekends.The Lighthouse has the freshest fish in Mackay. The way the orders are packaged makes it so easy to have pay seperate and have individual meals at the table. I will be coming back for sure!
The café/takeaway is located on Mackay Harbour, so a terrific location. My food wasn't though. I ordered grilled fish, chips and salad, price for this was about $16. My fish was very rubbery and chips soggy. I will return to the location but try one of the other businesses next time.
Went on a Thursday during school holidays. Bad idea, place was packed and no seating available. Surprisingly the meals still came out fairly quickly and to a high standard. Fish was cooked well but chips couldve done with a bit longer. Great outlook over the marina.

Four of us paid a visit to have a light lunch. The people were very pleasant and friendly serving us. I had the steak burger however, the steak was as I say, wafer thin. Apart from that, the meals we had were fresh and quite filling. Thanks.
Three of us had the $15 snapper and chips and the fish was excellent. How often do you buy fish n chips only for the fish to be over-cooked and dry? Not here baby. Beautifully cooked and moist. Good product well delivered.
Friendly service and great fish and chips. We come to this restaurant on a regular bases and ask for fish of the day crumbed,The meal and the view is always fantastic ,Well worth a visit,
