Ordered 2 steak pies and chips. Only when the meal was ready did the staff tell us that there was only one portion of pie and so they had split it between the 2 of us but said they had given us extra veg. We were in a hurry so said ok (it was lunch time). The veg was inedible overcooked but cold (looked like it had been around for a fe day). We struggled to find more than a handful of pieces of steak between the 2 of us, the rest was just thick gloopy gravy. The only good thing on the plate was the hot chips. The staff did knock off 20% when we highlighted this to them (especially when they were going to charge us full price for only half a pie each with very little filling. Very disappointe...

I visited this delightful venue with my husband. We had been before and few years ago and it didn’t disappoint. Staff were friendly and accommodating. It was busy, refreshments arrived quickly, as did the food after ordering. I had the turkey roast dinner, the best I have ever eaten out. Vegetables were fresh and cooked just right, the mash was creamy and buttery. The roast potatoes crisp and fluffy. The meat succulent and juicy. It was beautiful and piping hot. My husband’s meal, all day breakfast, was also the best he had ever had. Thoroughly enjoyable all round. We will definitely visit again

Popped in on Friday lunchtime, ordered the cottage pie, it came with bread and butter and beetroot and was absolutely gorgeous…. The ladies who serve you are lovely and attentive… the cook is a star and I will be back this week with my mum...

Fantastic Afternoon Tea. Warm nibbles and dip, quiche, sandwiches, and chips included, plus warm scones with proper clotted cream, and jam and yummy handmade cakes. All beautifully presented.
