An easy and short walk from St Helen’s World of Glass. Had afternoon tea. Booked in advance. Just as well as Lily’s was busy with all tables occupied when we arrived at 13:00. Very welcoming. Informal and efficient. Had afternoon tea: tea, selection of sandwiches, some deep-fried snacks, salad, and chips. Sandwiches plump with fillings. Fried bites added some lovely variety. Chips done perfectly: golden; crispy outsides; hot, fluffy insides. Tea was leaves with a separate strainer and porcelain cup and saucer. Earl Grey was richly flavoured. Regular was full flavoured. Cake selection was scone, cream, jam (without bits), mini Victoria sponge, mini fairy cake, Viennese-style multi-layer slice...

You catered superbly for my retirement party group of 11 and I will be forever grateful for making it the best day I could have possibly wished for. Your quality of food and your service was beyond excellent. We all said so and all loved the room and atmosphere you created for us. WoW!! We often have a payday treat delivery at work from Lilys. Today, we had the best one. My colleague couldn't finish her panini and side of chips as the panini was so generously filled. I had the chilli and chips. I eat chilli in lots of places. I make a rather good chilli myself. But this was the best chilli I've had in a long time. Lilys is consistently good. Even as a delivery, food is delivered fresh and hot. Can't wait til next payday Lilys
Having been promising a visit for a while on a walkabout town today got the chance it was as the reviews food was exceptional the pot of real tea which was outstanding brought back many memories of years gone by, the deluxe breakfast got tem out of ten along with friendly staff I can 100% recommend ant I will return soon to sample the afternoon tea.

We came here this morning for breakfast and we was delighted with the experience. The ambiance and the food was excellent. Everything was fresh and well cooked. Staff looked after us very well and with the overall experience we will certainly come again. Thank you Lily’s Victorian Tea Rooms
I have left a review on here in the past but feel the need to leave another one. Came here for afternoon tea for mother's day and lily's excelled themselves yet again. Staff worked so hard to make mother's day special. Food was out of this world. You certainly don't leave lily's hungry.
Delightful tearooms, choice of meals to cater for everyone, beautifully presented by really pleasant staff. Everything you could possibly want, from a toasted teacake to delicious main meals, and scrumptious afternoon teas too. Our favourite place to eat when in St Helens.

Found this little gem by accident whilst looking for somewhere else very glad we did, lovely staff, good food reasonably priced what more could you ask for? Well worth a visit.
