Six of us ate here on a Sunday evening (having struggled to find anything open outside the city). We had telephoned to book a table but I think we might have been accommodated without having done so. We had 5 pizzas and a pasta dish. I'll be honest - the pizzas were average, but I wish I'd had the lasagna, it was very very good! The proprietor is an engaging bloke who will happily discuss the raison d'etre of Italian dining if you so wish. If you go to this restaurant, I really hope you have the same piano player we did - she was brilliant and made the occasion so much more special. Tip her well.Minor down-side was we waited maybe half hour after we'd ordered, waiting for the pasta dish whic...

We arrived early on a Sunday evening (just before 7pm) and the owners were still eating their own evening meals. They were happy for us to take a seat while they cleared away their meal. The portions are generous so make sure you're hungry when you arrive. We shared an salad entrée (buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, lettuce, balsamic) and a napolitaine pizza and lasagne. Both mains could easily have fed 2 people!! Convenient location near the train station (and very close to our hotel), we'd recommend eating here for a casual meal. There also seemed to be many locals eating here, often a good sign. Tip: we walked past this restaurant the next evening - Monday - and it was closed (along with many...

Very busy, you know it's good because the locals are queuing up for takeaway! We were lucky to grab a table for 2 outside at 7:30pm (only half an hour after opening!) and all the other tables outside were reserved so it's worth reserving if you can! €10-12 for a lovely pizza, great crispy thin base, generous toppings and very tasty. A few nice desserts also on offer, beers and house wine for very good price. The waitresses were both very busy and service did take a while, but really this felt more in the French way than rudeness or neglect on their part and we spent a lovely couple of hours sat outside over our pizza, wine, and tarte tatin.

We had just had tapas and beers at an expensive bar in town and as we were not too hungry we were searching for a bar. L'Italia was about 50 yards from our boat so we stopped by for a beer.  A girl on the next table was presented with a smoked salmon pizza, and after seeing it we immediately ordered two smoked salmon artichoke and creme fraiche pizzas. We were not disappointed. They were thin and crispy and two between four of us was just a bit too much. As the restaurant filled, more dishes came out all looking good and with huge portions. You do need to speak a little French though. Reserva una mesa ahora

Near the Gare in Cascassonne, beside the Canal du Midi, what a find. Having missed a train & booked into the Bristol Hotel, I saw the welcoming lights of this little place. I went in really early, starving, the first diner in. The couple running the place were charming & the pizza was fabulous - huge slices of Parma ham atop real tomatoes, cheese and basil...enjoyed with a demi pichet of smooth red wine. To be so well fed more than made up for the missed train.

It is worth looking for this restaurant for the quality of the food. Family run and charming, vast portions and very reasonable prices . Tucked away near the railway station. Relaxed and welcoming . I had the braciola which was a mixture of meat dishes coked together with cheese and spaghetti , enough for several people. My wife's steak filled the plate. We liked the place very much

The service was poor and slow. No one arrived with the drinks we ordered. After more than 90 minutes waiting for the food three half cooked pizzas arrived. It was clear that the restaurant was unable to deal with the customer volume. As a regular visitor to Carcassonne I will not be going back to this place.

This popular restaurant is a bit of a gem. Authentic Italian cooking assisted by a Portuguese waiter come pizza maker. Good value for money and friendly service, but be sure to phone ahead to make a booking (even full up on a Monday night).
